It hasn't been too long since I got my eyebrow pierced, which was my first piercing other than several in the ears. I knew I wanted something else, but I wasn't quite sure. I was driving home from work Thursday night talking to my friend about the urge, when she began naming the possibilities.

"No, don't think I could pull it off"

" No, need to lose the gut first"Ok, so what? I knew I wanted something different, but I was clueless. I got online immediately when I got home and started searching the BME zine. When low and behold - the anti eyebrow. I fell in love immediately.
I began reading stories of others experiences. Everyone seemed thrilled. I started searching for more information on the web, but it seemed as if the only thing I could find regarding anti eyebrow was more people posting on message boards with their own questions about the piercing.
The next day I go back to work, having not stopped thinking about this awesome piercing since the moment I first spotted it. I mentioned it to a few people there, who had never heard of it either. I assure them I will bring a picture to show on Monday.
That night, I again spend hours admiring all the lucky owners of the anti eyebrow piercing. When I began sharing the pictures with friends to see what they think. Since I had seen no one with the piercing, I decide I would like to be a pioneer. Others began to tease that they would beat me to it, so I decided I couldn't put it off at all.
I got up Saturday morning and grabbed a friend for moral support, also not to forget the picture I had printed, just in case they had no idea what I was talking about. I remained calm all the way across town, but I felt the knot form in my stomach as soon as I saw the building where Body Links is housed.
I walked in and a nice lady asked what it was she could help me with. I walked up to the counter and asked if she ever did anti eyebrows. She just looked at me with a puzzled look on her face, and asked what that was. At that point I pulled out the picture to show her exactly what I was referring to. So she had never seen it before, much less done one. That made me a little uneasy but she was really impressed with it. She reached over and pinched a little piece of skin on my face to see exactly how thick it was. Then explained she could do it no problem.
I stood there and debated for only a few minutes before I decided to just take the plunge. She seemed extremely confident. Two people were ahead of me so I anxiously waited my turn. My moment comes up I head into the piercing room and stand in front of her so she could make her marks. She angled it down to the right a little less than an inch down from the barbell in my eyebrow. She marked it perfectly the first time. I loved it already!
I hop into the chair. And she apologizes ahead of time for the clamp. She wasn't kidding when she said it was going to have to be a lot tighter than the eyebrow. It took her about five minutes to get the clamp in place just right. She clamped it and unclamped it, then started kneading and pinching the area, clamped it again, kneaded again, this went on and on but it didn't bother me a bit as I would prefer that than the needle to rip through my skin because it wasn't on tight enough or in the right place. The entire time she's apologizing profusely.
"Talk to me! Are you ok? I'm so sorry Hun!"
By the time she got it in just the right spot, I couldn't feel anything at all, including the needle. I almost wanted to do it again! It bled just a little so she cleaned it up and slid the jewelry in no problem. I stood up and looked in the mirror, I was nothing short of giddy with the new anti eyebrow. She did such a great job, she had to go next door and buy a camera so she could take a picture.
I couldn't ask for it to be more perfect. Everyone loves it, even my parents! It doesn't hurt the slightest bit. The only problem now, twelve hours later, is that you can still see the marks from the clamp. I'm not worried about it though. I'm sure it will pass, and I'm hoping it doesn't migrate too soon. I may have to go back and have it done again!
Oh, and now I don't have to take the picture to work. I can show off my own anti eyebrow! (Did I mention yet that I love it!?)
