I have always wanted to get my eyebrow pierced.. probably ever since I first saw the real world Boston and Elka got hers pierced. so I begged my mom for YEARS to let me get it done.. ever since I was about 15 or so. she said if I ever got my eyebrow pierced she'd kick me out of the house. Many people besides my mother had expressed their disapproval, including my best friend who thought i would look "rough" if i got a piercing. But this had always been a dream of mine, so I decided I was not going to let their opinions change my mind about this piercing.
At A Glance Author ageofcelebrity Contact longinwaiting@yahoo.com When Six months ago Artist Justin (i think) Studio Another Dimension Location New Port Richey, FL I had searched around and picked a place I wanted to go: Another Dimension. A friend had recommended it to me and said it was very clean and they were nice there. Up to this point I really really wanted to get pierced.. and I started begging my mom every night and cried about it when she said no. I have 2 holes on my each ear lobe and have my cartilage pierced on both ears (which was the most painful piercing i have had done) and I had to beg for years to get those simple piercings done! My uncle lived with my mom, brother and I and my mom had been sick and ended up going into the hospital a few months before I turned 18, (and in Florida you had to have parental permission for body piercings if you were still considered a minor) so a couple days after she went into the hospital I asked my uncle if he would take me to get pierced and say he was my parent, he was a little unwilling because he didn't want my mom to be mad at him, but I convinced him to take me. I didn't have an y problems at the piercing place because I was a minor.. both of us just filled out the paperwork, and showed our IDs. Finally he asked me what kind of jewelry I wanted, I decided on a cute little silver hoop with a silver bead and I had decided to pierce my right eyebrow. We waited a few minutes and then he called me back in the little room where he explained aftercare and the piercing process and how they sterilize things and the type of needles they used.. everything. Then he marked on my eyebrow where he was going to pierce and made me check to make sure it was okay, which it was. Then he told me to close my eyes and warned me about the clamp.. he said it would be like a pinch and for me to try not to smile or move. the clamp was a little uncomfortable, but not nearly as bad as I would have thought and not as bad as I had read. I had read where people have said the clamp is the worst part... and I think it is.. because the needle didn't hurt me one bit. then he told me to breathe in and out and he counted to three and put the needle in. h e told me to keep my eyes closed because the needle was still in, and finally put in the jewelry and put in the bead and i had my first real piercing! The actual piercing did not hurt at all, it was a little tiny pinch and that's it. I didn't bleed at all, which made me happy cause I really didn't want to bleed. afterwards I paid him the $40 and gave him a tip, and he gave me the after care sheet and told me if I ever had any problems I could come back and also he would change my jewelry if I wanted that done in the future.
After the piercing it was a little sore, but it wasn't horrible. I got a bruise from the clamp which was a little unsightly for about a week, but that's it. I cleaned it as directed and it healed up quite nicely. I've had it for nearly a year now and I love it. one downside of facial piercings is that sometimes they are not always accepted.. many people in my high school were shocked I did "such a thing" because I seem like such a "nice sweet girl". occasionally when i go out many people, notably elderly people give me strange looks because of the piercing. But the bottom line is that I am happy with my eyebrow piercing.
Another Dimension was really nice and I would recommend them to others, in fact I also got my tongue pierced there not too long ago. So anyone in the New Port Richey, Hudson, Tarpon, Clearwater area I would suggest going to Another Dimension.
