Ever since I got my ear pierced three years ago, I have become intrigued with body piercings, modifications, and tattoos. So, after I got my ear pierced, I waited a while and finally decided that I wanted to actually get a real piercing. Not just something for my ear, but an eyebrow piercing. I had already gotten deep into the goth scene, and I noticed how many people had body piercings. I didn't want an eyebrow piercing only for the fashion sense, but because I thought it would make me feel a little more complete.

So, I asked my parents if I could get my eyebrow pierced, and they gave me an ultimatum. They said I could either get my eyebrow pierced then, and get no more piercings, or I could wait until I was a senior in high school to get as many piercings as I wanted. I thought about the decision for about two seconds before coming to the conclusion that I wanted the piercing now. Because the way I figure, by the time I am a senior, they will give in and let me have more, or I will be eighteen and it won't matter what they say.

So, I looked up piercing studios in Beaverton, and found one that I really felt comfortable with. It was Adorn Body Art, a body art studio with an all-female staff. That made me feel even better, because I love hangin out with girls, but thats beside the point.

After I found the location, I had my mom drive me up there to get pierced. My sister came to see me get it done, because she thought I would cry. So, we all walked up the stairs to the studio, and I walked inside. A nice woman welcomed me at the front desk, and asked how she could help me. I told her that I wanted to get my eyebrow pierced, and she showed me the ring options I had to choose from.

After I chose a ring and she had read me all the aftercare procedures and such, I was introduced to the woman who was going to work on me. I feel really bad because she was the nicest lady on the planet, and I can't remember her name. But then again, she probably doesn't remember mine either.

So, my sister, the piercer, and I walked to the back room, and I sat in a cushiony chair, kinda like a dentist's chair. I looked all around the room at pictures of objects with rings and barbells in them. It was like insinuatuing the actual body part getting pierced. That made me relax a little, because I was a little nervous.

The woman talked to me for a while before actually getting to the process. We decided on the placement of the ring in my eyebrow, after she had gotten out all of the necessary tools. She swabbed my eyebrow with the sterilizing solution, and clamped my eyebrow, telling me that it would just feel like a little pinprick.

I had already set myself p to be ready for some pain, but as she poked the needle through, I barely felt any pain. It didn't hurt at all, and I was quite surprised. She put the ring on, handed me a mirror, and asked if I liked it. I said, "It's terrific. I love it! Thank you" She was very professional about it, but very friendly also. She handed me a sheet which stated all the things I needed to do to keep my piercing healthy and clean. I paid the woman at the counter, said thank you once again to both of them, and left. They said come back anytime, and I will, for every piercing. Adorn Body Art left a very good impression on me.

So, after that, I went and bought the solutions and things I needed to keep the piercing clean, and I cleaned it daily and haven't had a problem since. Out of all my friends, I was the first to get any type of piercing other than ear, and that made me feel good. And, as I thought it would, the piercing made me feel complete.

Someone once said, getting tattoos is addicting, like drugs. The same for piercings. I love getting pierced, even though I have not gotten anymore since then, I sure do plan on getting another or several. It's addicting, but it's a good addiction, in my opinion anyway.

And for anyone considering getting pierced, I suggest Adorn Body Art. It's a great environment, it's veryneat and nice. You'll like it. And might I add, the women there are very nice looking, too. Especially, the woman who worked on me. I just wish I could remember her name.

But, anyway, getting pierced was great for me, and it might be for you too.
