Hmm, let's see how I shall start this bitch. My name's Michelle, I'm 15, from a small area (Newport News, VA) and here's my story...

I don't know how I got introduced to BME, I believe someone gave me the address. I remember the first time I came onto the site I was shocked, there were so many different things I could do to my body that I had no clue even existed, let alone be pierced. So the first thing I went to was the tongue experiences. After being fascinated by my friends piercing, I was trying to convince my mother to let me get it. She was giving in, but she started leaning on the negative side, so to at least get something (Hey, something's better than nothing), I told her we could wait until Christmas to do my tongue (he he) and just get my eyebrow done now. She said she liked that idea and would think about it, so then came the research...

It was actually quite comical.I got all the information, of course from BME, and she proceeded to look around. Within 15 minutes of looking at the eyebrow pictures, she was actually 'shopping' for a ring for my naked little eyebrow. She finally came to the decision that I could get it done, but under the 'condition' that I never get a barbell, they're too masculine for me. Ha.

So originally I had planned to get it done in a week, so my friend could watch (she had been planning on getting the same piercing, and wanted to see how much I cried), but I convinced my mom to let me get it done earlier, like three days after she made her decision, haha. So actually I wasn't nervous. I woke up the day of the piercing with a grin on my face, no butterflies or stupid shit, just a grin. I woke up considerably close to the piercing time, so I guess I didn't have time to get nervous. I made sure to eat something, and then we left to go get my piercing done..

In the beginning I really thought I wasn't going to get it done, my mom had 'supposedly' knew where the damn place was, and mistaked it for a navy surplus store (...) so we had to swing by 7-11 and check the address. During the drive I was unbelievably scared. Not of the piercing, of the fact that it was going to be some run down nasty ass place. So we finally get there, and thank god, it was a nice place. There were only a few people in front of me, actually one dude. He was getting both nipples pierced and a tattoo. Dumb shit. Anyhow..

So after about fifteen fucking minutes of standing there doing nothing, someone actually asks us what we need help with. Turns out the lady that was piercing today was actually in the middle of sticking a needle through a nipple, so we had to wait a bit. I was actually relieved that it was a girl, I had previously talked to her on the phone, and she was really nice, it was almost like she took pleasure in answering my questions. Anyhow..so we filled out a form, which actually only needed my initials, name, and my mothers signature, weird. But we went to go sit down in the waiting room. Cute little thing. Pool table, video games, fan (thank god), and bathroom, cigarrette machine..After about 25 minutes of waiting, my mom started bitching. Then right after she stopped, the lady came in, explaining that the autoclaver stopped about 10 minutes ago, but it was still too hot to use them, ha, that shut my mom up. So then about 7 or 8 minutes later she called me in. Actually I still wasn't nervous at this point. She put all of her shtuff on this table, all packaged up. She showed that everything was sterilized, and even if the rings or whatever were in packages she autoclaved them anyway just to be safe. So then came the piercing..Well, first she cleaned it and marked it. She didn't let me check it but I wasn't worried, I could tell she was experienced. Then she put the clamp on, that actually hurt like a bitch. I started saying that, and stopped myself, I didn't want them to know it actually hurt.. So then right after she put the clamp on she took the needle, I was like oh shit and closed my eyes, and she stuck it through. It's a different feeling. It's the same feeling as getting your ears pierced, but it stings for a while after it's done. My stupid mom was trying to take pictures, so I put my head down, the lady got really worried, she kept asking me if I was about to pass out, I just laughed. So yeah, it's only been a day, it's still a little sore, but she was really helpful and nice. She also told me she'd change my jewelry for free. Woohoo.

If you want to get your eyebrow done, then just do it. Of course it's going to fucking hurt, you're sticking a piece of metal through your flesh on your face, something's going to happen. And if you just keep waiting, anxiety will build up..so just get it done already......

Shmooches-

Michelle
