I woke up late that day. Just dyed my hair blue. I wanted a change. I get like that sometimes. I like to reinvent myself every now and then. This seemed like a good enough time.

I thought he was at the shop, but I was soon proven wrong. Lissie was bored, and wanted to poke holes in me. So, I got dressed, and strutted my little butt over there.
Lucas wasn't there. Surprise, surprise. The shop was dead. This had been the first time I actually stepped foot in there. The lobby is gross as hell. The place has a really bad reputation. Which, to be honest, I can see why. There used to be random dogs roaming around all the time in this place. Really scummy. And their selection of jewelry is the worst I have ever seen. The only reason I went was because I knew Lissie would do a good job. And she needed a guinea pig, which was me. I mean, three piercings for ten bucks? Hells, yeah! I've let my drunk friends pierce me with boiled safety pins. I sure can handle someone who knows what they're doing.
She straddled me on the chair and gave me her usual greeting lick and then got up. She told me she would stab me three times for ten bucks. Good deal. I whipped out my little matchbox 'o body jewelry, and she went to town on me. Nothing needed to be auto-claved, since it was all only in my body. I'm not all that fussy, anyways.
First was my nostril. I've had this done two other times before. The first time, was a no-go. Did it myself, with a safety pin. Damn, that hurt. Second time, took it out for a job interview, and lost the nosebone. Apparently, this was her first nostril piercing. Sure, I was a little nervous, but she's a good friend of mine, so I'd give it a shot. She shoved this enormous cork up my nose. I couldn't even breathe out that nostril during the piercing. It was ridiculously huge. In went the needle. It hurt, since she went through the old hole. I hate scar tissue.
The most painful part was when she got a hold of the closers. Since she wasn't used to working with such small gauged jewelry (18), she slipped, and caught part of my nose in the closers. That was horrible. Yet, somehow, I remained incredibly giddy (maybe it was the loss of blood?) throughout it all. She apologized up and down. I thought i felt tears running into my mouth, but I quickly tasted blood. It was strangely soothing. She cleaned me off, and took me outside for a smoke and some fresh air.
She was a little wary of piercing my eyebrow after this, since she thought I wasn't up for any more pain. But I was, and she was proud.
I picked up my old lip rings, and chose some nifty oval-shaped hematite beads for them. The first one didn't hurt so bad. It bled. Typical eyebrow experience, I guess. I had her watch out for my shaving scar (I'm too lazy to pluck, so I take a razor to 'em). I think she hit it with the second one, since I bled all over myself. It was pretty. It looked like I was crying blood. Or if someone just beat me in the face with a meat tenderizer. I looked like a chance survivor of attempted manslaughter. We took lots of nice pictures. And I didn't even get any of my nice white wife beater! Although I am kinda disappointed I didn't. It's kinda like going home from a GWAR show without a stained shirt. Come on. I had never noticed how red my blood was before. And cold. It was so cold. I felt like a lizard or something. I didn't even bleed this much when I got my bridge pierced. And not with my nipples, either. Never thought my eyebrow would top 'em all. It's strange how my body works.
I woke up the next day, with a black eye. Now, I know she went far too deep, since I am prone to rejection. But, I think it also had to do with the fact that I have now had that eyebrow pierced four times, and I used to shave them off on a weekly basis. The skin is irritated as hell. And has been since I was 17. Who knows. My nostril is fine. A little crusty, but healing nicely. My eyebrow is very swollen. And sore. I think I did a wee too much at once.
