Well, for the longest time I've wanted my septum, but bringing it up in grade 8 didn't go too well with my dad. So I kinda waited a bit and then grade 10 came around and I asked again. He obviously said no. And again, and again. That didn't stop me. I asked him so many times, and explained things to him until he finally agreed. At first he said my mom had to take me, which blows, because my mom doesn't exactly have a means of transportation, which obviously meant bussing. I wasssssssssn't too into that, and neither was my mom. Lol, So you can just guess, that I asked my dad about a billion times to take me. It took him a while to drive me, but off I went with my friend and my boyfriend. I wasn't really scared, a few of my friends already had it and said it was the worst pain of their lives. I really didn't believe that, I thought it was just a flimsy little piece of skin, not even thick!? I ended up putting a bread clip on my nose because I'm an idiot, and yeah, it hurt aha. Made my eyes water a bunch too. Some of my friends said it wasn't that bad too though, virtually painless. So I didn't know what to believe. Was it just a bunch of stupid teenage girls trying to be bitches and lying, or was it the truth? I experenced LARGE amounts of pain from my industrial, none on my monroe, none on lobes obviously, but the gauging hurts like you wouldn't believe., so I just assumed it wouldn't be any worse than that. So, we soon get downtown and we all walked down to Universal (that's where I ALWAYS and ONLY go). I paid and my dad left as soon as it was done. That's what he does. He hates everything about piercings basically. His excuse is that he doesn't want to see me being impailed because I'm his daughter. Ha Ha Ha. Cute eh? Anyways. Everything's paid for and I'm told to sit.

There I was, sitting, waiting, I've already paid and I'm starting to get reaaaaaaaaally excited. Jenn calls me in and of course I'm asking her a million questions. "Is it going to hurt? How bad? How's healing? How do I blow my nose?" That kind of garbage. She answered every question, and I was ok with the answers so I continued. She told me that the clamps were going to be the worst part of the expierence, I dissagreed. They didn't hurt too bad, it was just like, a quick jolt of "HOLY CRAP, OW, WHAT JUST HAPPENED. Oh..." So I sat there, as she picks up the needle my hat falls. Perfect timing, I could have gotten a needle jabbed through my eyeball for all I know. But anyways, I tell her I'm ready, take a deep breath, and BAM. It was done. But oh mother, it hurt. It felt like someone was slowly tearing up my nose. I held that back though ha ha ha. Just a couple moans and grunts lol. I give my friends the thumbs up and Jenn says "So here's the worst part..." and me, I was all "EXCUSE ME?@??@!?#@>$@#$!@K!!NKHER!RNG!H@#^!@#!!" and she said for her, she had to put the ball on my jewelry. After I collected myself and checked if I SHIT MY PANTS (but not really), I looked in the mirror and was amazed on how great it looked. Like, you obviously know that there's some people out there who just CAN NOT pull off a septum, but I thought I looked quite fine. :)

Through this embarassing process, my boyfriend and friend filmed it. Crappy cellphone quality, but you get the deal, right?

"bree gets her septum"

lol

This won't be the last piercing I get, by no means.

I have 7 right now (Monroe, Industrial, lobes gauged to a 4, left lobe again, and Septum), and this Thursday I'm getting my sternum.

Later on this year (HOPEFULLY SOON) I'm getting my sideburn.

All in all, septum was a fun expierence. The pain lasted a mere 7 seconds, and was gone by the time I got home that day.

E mail me with any questions you may have, I'd be happy to help.

I just caution you to ask people their honest oppinion if they think it'd look good. I see too many ugly chicks walking around with them and I just want to ask them "Why?"

But other than that, DONT BE SCARED.

Ha ha ha, piercings for me are a huge adrenaline rush.

Happy piercing guys!

Ps. It's been a month and mines healing great. No discomfort or soreness at all.

Unless I hit my nose, but come on, I don't do it THAT often.
