Thanks so much for taking the time to read my experience! I'm 14 years old and I got my nose pierced for my grad present. I guess i'll start with how I got it.

Well I have 3 lobe piercings and I want a few more. I've always loved the idea of piercing and tattoos. Well after getting a third lobe piercing my mom put her foot down and said that was it until i was 15 then she would let me get my nose pierced because she thought it was classy. Well she asked me what I would like for a grad present. I told her that I would really like her to let me get another hole in my ear. She told me that she would think about it, well a few days later she said no the ear piercing but she said I could get my nose pierced. Well I graduated and I got money for my grad present to go to my nose piercing. Well I spent it and I was broke for a month until I started saving well i got enough money in September.

So a week into September I booked an appointment at Sins of Skin. I asked everyone that I saw that had a piercing where they went and what they thought of the place and the most people went to Sins of Skin and thought it was great.

The day of my appointment was finally here and I was going after school. I was so excited the whole day and I couldn't wait to go get it done. So me and my grandma drove to the studio and I filled out the forms my grandma lets them know its ok and i chose my jewelry, a simple clear nose bone. I would not recommend you choose a nose bone because it really hurts pulling it out the first time and it fell out of my nose like five times the first we I had it because it wasn't heeled and their was close to nothing stopping it.

As my piercer Adrenne takes me to her room and i ask if I can take a look around just to see what its like. I wouldn't say it was doctors office clean but it was pretty clean. I asked a lot of questions like are all the needles single use, are the clamps new, do you mark it before you pierce (I've seen a lot of videos on youtube that the piercer just sits the person down "Are you ready" and without marking or cleaning they pierce). She was so awesome making me feel comfortable. She asked if I knew about bme and of course we talked about that for awhile. She told me about all of the different people shes worked with and the different places shes worked at. She asked me what kind of music i liked and put on my favourite music. She asked me a lot of questions like what I did for fun and what I liked to do. She promised me that she would not pierce me unless I was totally comfortable with her.

After she makes sure that i'm comfortable she sits me down in a dentist like chair and cleans my nose inside and outside. She marks my nose and asks what i think and she readjusted to how I liked it. After changing her gloves she gets the needle out of a package and the clamps out of a package and puts the clamps on. She asked me if I was ready and I was. After that I just closed my eyes and she told me to breath in and out and I felt her line the needle up with the dot. on my third exhale she pushed it through and I just felt the slightest poke when she was going through the top layer. When she told me I was done I was shocked I hadn't even felt the jewelry go in and the needle come out. It was AWESOME!

After I gave her a big hug and thanked her. She explained how to clean it just use a cotton swab and diluted peroxide. We went back to the counter and I paid $34 and gave her a 15 dollar tip.

The healing of this piercing was so quick and easy. The cleaning was easy and very effective. The inside of my nose was really swollen the next morning and I could barely see the ball on the end of the stud so I called and the receptionist said it was normal and it would be gone by that night which it was.

If you are looking to get your nose pierced I HIGHLY recommend it! Its so pretty and it heals super fast. I would recommend not using a nose bone but instead a screw as it really hurts to pull it out the first time. If you're thinking about this piercing get it its beautiful and painless.
