Well, I've wanted to get more piercings since grade 5, at that time I only had my ears pierced and that was done when I was 2 years old. In grade 8 I'd noticed my mom had 2 piercings in each ear and I begged her for the same, I didn't force the matter, but one day when we were at the mall I asked her as we were passing in front of Claire's and we got that done even though I could tell she didn't want me to do it. At Claire's they used a piercing gun so I felt no more than a pinch and the lady even told me I had really good ears for piercing...whatever that means, but it made me happy.

Anyway, recently I was talking with my brother who wanted to get his ear pierced and I had been thinking about getting another piercing recently too. I hadn't thought about where, but soon after decided on getting my nose done. (Please, do actual research on what you want I realize I should have done that, but it's too late now and I don't regret it anyway)
The next day my bro woke me up and off we went to go get our piercings; the day before we had looked for shops online. Down we went to the studio...I was scared I wouldn't be able to get it done without parental consent, I'm only 15 and you had to be 16, but this lady was only looking for cash and didn't even look at the birth date I'd put on the "waiver".
My brother got his piercing and before I knew it, it was my turn. I tried not to think about what my mom would say since she didn't know and quickly got it over with. (I don't condone not telling your parents, but I really didn't want her to say no). The lady put on gloves, cleaned my nose a million and one times, marked the area; I thought it was a little too close to the front, but I have an African American nose so its wider and putting it too far back would be unnoticeable and I want people to notice so I left it. She then clamped my nose which hurt wayyyy more than the actual piercing, then stuck the needle through. I didn't even realized she'd put the nose screw in until she was done and wiping the blood off my nose, it was SO fast!
My eyes did water a little bit and there was slight trickle of blood, but nothing serious. I was just so happy I'd got it done.
Besides being worried about the reactions of my parents I was a little worried about what my acting school would say since the day before I had signed a contract and paid A LOT of money to go away to an acting convention where agents recruit you. I really didn't want my piercing to interfere with my future career plans or limit my acting roles in anyway, but I had to get this piercing!
Later on I had to meet my mother and I was dreading it. It turns out she didn't even notice. It was weird she was completely in my face and her eyes flickered towards my nose, but a few days after when she did voice her anger about it she said she hadn't noticed. This I don't understand there's this sparkly thing on the largest part of my face and my own mom didn't notice for 2 days...Well after getting chewed out and lectured for an hour I was allowed to keep my piercing and wasn't given any grief since :) My aunt even said it was really sexy. hahaha
However, the weird part of my experience was my dad not noticing for OVER A MONTH. I'd had my piercing in for over a month and he didn't even realize it was there. Well, he didn't freak out too much he just yelled at me about how I didn't ask him and then wrestled me to the ground and sat on my head (IN A PLAYFUL WAY, it didn't hurt too much....haha) In my opinion i think he felt guilty he didn't realize it sooner, so he didn't overeact.
So anyway, I really want to get the side of my lip pierced before school starts.
For this piercing I've definitely done a lot of research though. I've been looking at pictures of the piercing everyday and looked into getting it done at a different studio. While the lady that did my piercing was pretty good it wasn't the most sterile environment (the piercing wasn't done in a separate room or anything although all the tools were completely sterile) and I really don't want to mess up this piercing. The studio I've decided on is called Stargazer Studio and they did my friends snakebites and they were done really well. The lady also does the cannula needle method and I prefer to do that.
Now all I have to do is ask my mom I'm not exactly sure how to ask her. This time I don't want to go behind her back though. I just need to find a good fool proof way to ask her...hahaha.
