Well.. I've always wanted my nose pierced and I know I'm young but I can be very stubborn. Neither of my parents agreed with facial piercings and I had kept moaning at them for about half a year. One day I was scrolling through this site and I realised loads of people had done it themselves and it had turned out okay.

Location Scotland I have my ears pierced 4 times on one ear and 3 on the other and I had done one of the piercings on it. They had ended up healing better than they did when I got it done at a professional piercers and I couldn't go to a piercing shop as you needed parents and my mates couldn't do it as they didn't know how..so after weeks of research I finally plucked up the courage to do it myself.I kept wanting to pierce my nose myself but never got round to it but I was determined to get my nose done no matter what so one night I got a needle, rubbing alcohol, cleansing pads and other stuff I needed.
I made a mark on my nose roughly where I wanted it and put the needle there ( keeping in mind I cleaned it ). I pushed against the skin and made a little mark, there wasn't that much pain so i kept pushing. After about 1 hour I finally got to the cartilage. I spent ages trying to get it through so I gave up and went to bed. Next day there was a scar on my nose and it looked awful so I decided to give it another try. The needle went all the way through to the cartilage and I could feel the point of the needle in my nose but couldn't get it through the last bit of skin! With one harder push it went through and there wasn't any blood so I grabbed an earring and put it through. I know I shouldn't have used an earring but there was nothing else to use at the time.
It was a bit long and kept jagging into the inside of my nose when I slept so one day, I went down the street with my mate and bought some nose studs. They were extremely hard to keep safe without my parents knowing about them even though they were small you had to know where they were. What happened with me was I swallowed out, Dropped one down the drain and the other I dropped in the Supermarket. I was so pissed off.
Now was the hard part..Keeping it from my parents. This was the school holidays so I would have to be careful, every time my parents came in the room I quickly took it out and they never noticed. I had bought new nose studs and was quite happy with the way it was healing. I just had to make sure I didn't drop anymore because they aren't cheap and my dad started getting suspicious as to where my money was disappearing to. Finally I got back to school and everyone was really impressed that I had done my piercing myself. But one day my mum found out, She went mental and told me to take it out before she told my Dad who would most likely ground me for life. I took it out but still put it in at school but my mum found me out once again, this time she started to warm to the idea she thought it looked quite cool.
So now 2 months later I can wear it in front of my mum and practically everywhere apart from in front of my dad, I have lots of new cool nose studs and my mates are kind of jealous. I have loads of new nose studs from Internet sites and my local gothic style shop. They are only £ 1.95 each and I have little different coloured stars, Spikes, small spikes, hoops, which include a black on, a titanium one, a gold one, a silver on and many different colours. I now have figured I really really want my lip done but I don't know exactly where to do it and I'm scared I'll mess it up. If anyone on here knows could you please add me on msn and kind of guide me.
Funny thing is now my mum is talking about getting her nose done, I'm sure she'd really suit it but it bugs me that she didn't like it before and now all of a sudden she does after I get mine done, but oh well I guess that's life.
I don't advise Self piercing in anyway as not all of them go as well as mine did but if you do have any photos of cool piercings you have like your lip or eyebrow or whatever you have please send then to me as I love piercings.
