Well, it's been about 7 months since I got my septum repierced. I got it repierced at a 14g after I unfortunately lost it in my sleep one night. And I must say that it healed much faster than it had the first time I got it pierced.

So even before I lost it the first time, I was intent on stretching it to a 10g or bigger because I want to eventually have the option to take my septum jewelry out without worrying it will close in a minute. My adventure began one morning before my 8 o clock class; I awoke to find that my 14g retainer had fallen out in my sleep. I so foolishly went to bed without flipping it up. It had once again became easy to do so after the healing, but it must've been one of those nights where I was too stoned or drunk to do so. Ha. So I'm defiantly in a state of panic at this point; I quickly find my retainer in my pillow and rush over to my bathroom in front of the mirror. I still have to keep from being late to class.

So I'm standing in front of the mirror about to prepare for the pain of not wanting to let a septum piercing go down the drain when 'slip'. The retainer slips right out of my trembling fingers and down the drain. So I'm like "what the fuck?" what the fuck do I do now? I have only once choice now, I hadn't planned on going about it like this. I take this 12g horseshoe I bought from Wally World, lubed it up with some Dial soap or something like that, and pushed it through my septum. I say pushed it, but it was more like a very careful shove. Damn, did it sting? Yes it did. My left eye watered a little bit, so I get all my stuff together and rush off to my first class at school. It really didn't hurt very much the entire day considering I had just stretched it, and it was done so in such a dramatic way. So I have a 12g horse shoe in my nose for about 3 months, taking in the compliments blah, blah, and blah. Yes, it was all great, but I had no intentions of stopping there. So within all this time, id had a few failed stretching attempts on my septum.

The first time I use a horseshoe, which really just pissed my hole and me off.

Another time I tried to use a hair pick tooth. But no, that wasn't happening either. And I didn't really have the money to buy a taper off the net. So on a trip to Tyler Texas; I bought a 10g metal pincer thing, after trying to stretch my septum. Then that day I went to a party and I met a guy sporting a 6g captive. I eventually asked, "I bet that hurt to stretch to that size." He paused for a moment and then said, "No, not really...." Then spoke briefly on tears, and such. My friend Audrey suggested that I take a couple of shots before hand. I thought that was funny, but the more the guy with the 6g hole inspired me once again to not worry about the possible pain.

So I wake up the next morning, and after sitting around for a bit I decided that I was going to stretch my septum with the small pincer I had bought. So I ran around the house picking up baby oil (with vitamin E), the small pincer, which has a width of about ½. So once again I lubed it up with baby oil after washing my hands, and I turned on some Aphex Twins Cd that I had just bought. Listening to music while I'm stretching seems to alleviate the anticipation of the stretch. So like I said I lubed it up and I stood in front of my mirror clumsily holding the 10g pincer. I also rubbed a little on my 12g horseshoe and pushed it through the hole. Then I rubbed a little around the outside of the hole itself. So I'm sitting in front of the mirror having the same problems Id had the day before. I was all tense trying to get the damn little piece of jewelry through. I was almost about to give up, then I decided to lie down and try to push it through. And this is what worked. I just stay where I was at, and slowly began pushing it through the middle of my nose. And I wouldn't say it was excruciating, it more like stung. My left eye watered, and after checking that it was indeed sliding through it was pretty much done. I felt so relieved with all the run around I had been through. It's been sort of sore through out they day, I it defiantly feels tight around the jewelry and I feel good about that. After this stretch I think any future septum projects will be done this way.

I defiantly look forward to future septum stretches; I really hope that my 10g septum stretch experience helps anyone out with a small stretch like this. I did this early in the day, and I think I'm going to soak it in some sea salt or some antibacterial water mix.

Happy Stretching Erbody!!!
