I've always been interested in piercings. I have 9 ear piercings, a few of which I've done myself, and I did my belly button myself twice (neither times it worked out).

My cousin got a tiny pink stud nostril piercing a couple years ago, and since then I've wanted my nose pierced. I also want tongue, but at Pleasurable Piercings you have to be sixteen, and eyebrow, but I wanted nose more. My mom is easily persuaded so I wasn't too worried about that part. I asked her and she said she'd think about it. The next day she called Pleasurable Piercings (I had read about them online a while ago, and my mom had contacted them when I was gonna get my belly button pierced). When I asked her for her decision, she told me she thought there were better ways to spend my time and money, but if I wanted it, it was up to me. We decided to wait till this week (we were visiting family this past weekend and it wouldn't have gone over so well). So I asked if we could go monday and she said that was okay. The whole day in school I was excited but nervous. I told a lot of my friends, some were shocked, some asked "Why?!", but a lot said it would look awesome. Toward the end of the day I got really nervous (I have anxiety and I think that was sort of affecting me, though obviously it's typical to be nervous), so I tried to just concentrate on taking deep breaths.
So today we went. As soon as I walked in, I noticed how nice and clean the place look. The man at the desk asked what I wanted, and I said nostril. He gave me some forms to fill out and asked for my ID, birth certificate, and my mom's ID. Then he took out three racks of notril screws for me to choose from, and I chose a small purple stone. He gave me the total, I paid, and then a woman came out and gave me the aftecare spray (H2Ocean) and instructions. They told me to take a seat and that they'd call me when the piercer, Lou, was ready. I sat down for maybe 10 minutes and was called in. I was nervous, but surprisingly I wasn't exactly terrified, like I expected I would be. I tried my best to stay calm.
I followed him into a room and he told me to have a seat. He introduced himself, put on a pair of gloves, and asked what side I wanted. I told him right side, and he marked the spot. After asking for the mirror back 3 times, I told him that spot was fine. He handed me the marker because they don't reuse anything (I'm starting a collection :] ). He told me to lay down, and by then the chair was horizontal, so I closed my eyes and relaxed. I kept my eyes closed the entire time and didn't look at anything. He asked if I was ready, I took a deep breathe, and he pierced it. "Was that it?" I asked after I thought the needle went through. I honestly did not feel any pain. It felt as if someone poked the top of my nose with a needle, but I couldn't feel it going through. Then he put the ring in, which hurt a little bit. It felt like someone tearing my nose (I don't know where I got that, but that's how I felt), but it wasn't unbearable by any means, and it was over in 5 seconds. The entire procedure didn't take more than 20 seconds. My right eye watered a little bit, but not a lot. I asked if it was bleeding and he said no. The moment I got out the words "It seems like I tend not to bleed for piercings," he told me it was bleeding a little bit. He wiped it off and it seemed fine. I jumped up and ran to the mirror. It was perfect and I loved it. I thanked him, tipped him, and left. I swear I spent the entire car ride with my face in the mirror. It feels a little weird having something in my nose, like I want to scratch it, but nothing major. It was a little sore for maybe 10 minutes once I got home, but otherwise I haven't had any discomfort
If you're thinking about getting your nostril pierced, go for it. It really is NO big deal and I could not be happier. Even though I don't like my nose, I still totally love it.
