Well, so here's what happened!... I always hated nose piercings I just kind of figured my nose was too big for one, which I found out makes my nose looks cute! But anyway I ended up getting my eyebrow pierced (don't do it!) It didn't hurt or anything but it's just the long term things that can happen like it popping out of your skin. Not that it happened to me but it definitely could have!

Well, once I got that pierced I became obsessed with piercings and wanted to get my nose done! But at the time of my eyebrow piercing I was only 15... actually I got it done for my 15th birthday with the money my Gram gave me. My parents were cool with it for the most part I guess, but when I wanted to take that out and get my nose done... they pretty much blew up on me cause they didn't want "holes" in my face.

So one night out of no where I just decided to get a needle, ice, rubbing alcohol, and you know all that good stuff, and my cleaned my dresser with alcohol, soaked the needle and earring I was going to use in alcohol as well and numbed my nose for like five hours. HA! I had pierced things before like my ears and my friends belly button, but I was just scared cause this was on my face.

But once I stopped being a chicken shit I took the needle and starting piercing. It didn't hurt AT ALL I was SO surprised! But it's really really hard to push through. You really have to push hard... Then it popped really loud and scared the shit out of me and I was right behind the very last layer and it started to hurt. That's a very sensitive shot I mean try plucking your nose hairs! But if you do it fast it's not bad at all! But once I got it through it bled for a second and I pushed the earring through. After I was on such a high it was great and it looked amazing!!!

The only thing I suggest if you decide to do it yourself is get an actual nose stud before you pierce it. I didn't have time to... cause like I said it was a random thing. But the next day I went out and got one and I had to pierce the back of my nose again! This might not happen to you but it kind of sucked so just in case i'd make sure you had one! Mine was swollen for about 2 days or so and I had to keep pushing the nose stud in but mine didn't get crusty or have any pain at all. Actually my friends that had theirs done professionally said it hurt like a bitch and it hurt after to move their nose or to even lay on it. Mine didn't hurt AT all like that I mean don't get me wrong it hurt if I were to lay on it or bumped it but other than that my healing process was amazing.

So I'd recommend anyone to do it their self. Just as long as you do it in the right spot (which is where the little curve or indent on your nostril stops at the top ((unless your's is too long)) I'd look at a bunch of pictures of nose piercings to get the right idea before you do yours) oh and don't clean it with alcohol it'll dry it out just clean it with dial soap... works wonders! But other than that I say if you want to do it then go for it. My healing process was easy and to this day it hasn't given me any problems just make sure it's straight! But have fun and if you take care of it the right way you'll be fine! OH! And if someone tells you to clean it with anything but soap DON'T listen! My friend does piercings for a living and I called him right after I did it and that's what he told me to do and I didn't have any problems. But my friend who pierced hers with me decided to use peroxide and hers got crusty and gross... so yeah! But have fun kids! [:

Here's what mine looked like RIGHT after I pierced it...

It was a little red and swollen but it was totally and completely worth it! I absolutely LOVE it and I would do it all over again if I had to! So definitely do it don't be scared cause you'll end up falling in love with it as soon as your done! Plus the piercing high is amazing! Ha!
