I have wanted my nose pierced for ages. I just think they look so cool and neat. Especially if you put a little gem stone or diamond stud in it. I have 3 piercings in each lobe in my ear. I did the 3rd set myself and my mom hasn't noticed (even though it has been 9 months!). I also did my belly button last month but took it out as the skin around it was getting very thin and I was scared that it was going to rip out so I took it out. But this story is about my nose piercing not my ears or belly button. So lets carry on.

As I said I had wanted it for ages. I begged my mom but she said I can't get it done until I move out. After more begging she said I can get it done when I'm 16 but thats 2 years away and I knew she wasn't going to let me get it done before then.

So last week I bought some nose studs ('L' shaped ones , I got a baby blue , baby pink and clear crystal ones and they were Sterling Silver and really small and cute!) and found one of the sharpened earrings I had got my 2nd set of earrings pierced with. I put them in a box and decided to pierce my nose the night my mom went away and then think of a good plan to hide it or buy something to hide it as I had a gift voucher for a local shop that sold stuff like nose studs , belly bars and earrings etc.

Then last night I took them out and cleaned them with this disinfectant called TCP. Don't use it. It stinks. Its not bad for your skin and it was probably a good thing to use but man does it smell! I then got some ice and numbed my nose with it for 5 minutes. Then I got the earring and just PUSHED really really hard and it went through. I didn't feel a thing because the ice had numbed it really good =) I still needed to get it through the really thin last layer of skin. So I just pushed and it went through. Still no pain! So I left the earring in. I was quite surprised that there was no pain as I've read on some stories on Bmezine that they are really painful and there is lots of blood. There was no blood at all on mine and I didn't feel dizzy! I also read that its really sore piercing the last layer of skin. Even though I didn't numb that bit - I still didn't feel anything =D

Then an hour and a half later I decided to take it out and put the nose stud in. I just took the earring out and put the cute pink crystal nose stud in. No problems! It looked great and I was very happy with my new piercing. By this time it was 2.30am so I went to sleep.

Then this morning when I woke up I put my hand on my nose and my stud was gone! It's one of the L shaped ones and it had fallen off in my sleep! I found it but the hole had shut! Oh man! I got the earring again and cleaned it and shoved it through. There was a tiny little sting but that was only because I hadn't used ice this time. I took it out and put the stud in. No problem!

My mom still doesn't know as she is away for a few days. Today I bought these TINY little studs that I'm going to use to hide it from her. They are tiny. I bought two because I will probably lose one. In the shop where I bought them the lady told me to stop the 'L' shaped nose studs coming out at night to put an earring back on them. But only at night. I bought some Dettol anti-bacterial soup when I was in town and used that to clean it with some Q-Tips.

I was with my friend and she can't believe I pierced but she does believe because she knows that my mom would never let me. She said it looks cool and she wants one but her mom won't let her either and she's too scared to pierce it herself. She said she is going to pierce her belly button herself. Even when I told her that my belly button hurt a LOT more than my nose she still said she would rather her belly button.

Okay thanks for reading! If you are going to self pierce always make sure everything is clean and sterilized! And you will have a nice piercing like me. Also to hide it from parents you can use either a retainer or a tiny stud like me.
