Firstly, I have 4 piercing's and many more are planned! I have a great love for them and the confidence they bring people. I should also say that my parents are not greatly keen on them but have surprised me with what they will let me do.

We were desperate! If there had been a weird tramp guy or someone wandering around with a needle I'm pretty sure we would have done it!
Anyway we decided to wait until later that week, at the time my parents were on holiday so I had to decide to just get it done and give them a little shock when they got back, or phone them and ask them. Being the goody goody that I am I phoned them and much to my surprise they were fine about it, they would prefer if I don't but said I could.
So after work one day I met up with my friend in town, with a bag full of sweets covered in sugar and we tried eating as many as possible (not easy when they are extremely sour J). I wasn't really sure what to expect, whether it would be painful or not and more importantly to me was whether it suited me!
When we got in the shop there was the usual clean disinfectant smell (always reassuring) and it was also quite busy! ..so we filled out our forms and had the nervous wait before it was our turn. I don't normally get scared and the pain doesn't really bother me (no pain no gain), I was more worried about whether it would suit me. Because of my freaking out my friend said she would go first, it was all very quick and looked really good on her, then it was my turn!!!!!
I sat on the bed thingy and chose my stud, then the piercing guy (who was really good btw) gave me a hole handful of tissue and said "this will probably make you cry... a lot" great I thought!! Anyway... he put the tube up my nose then after a few deep breaths the needle went in, I can't remember there being any pain at all, it just felt like tugging and the jewellery went in fine. And he was right you do cry a bit, but I didn't nearly half as much tissue! Then came the mirror, to be honest I was so pleased I got it done but I really didn't like it!
He showed us the aftercare which is relatively simple just cleaning twice a day with a solution we were given and then paid and left the shop with the feeling of something sticking out of our noses, and a huge metal structure inside (that was quite nice though, in a weird way!!) and I headed off to the other piercing shop in the city to buy a really small stud as I thought mine stuck out too much, I asked the lady in the shop if she could change it then but she looked at me like I was crazy because I had literally just had it done! And said that I shouldn't do anything with the jewellery until it had healed, nooooooo I really didn't like it and was so jealous of my friends. She said that it looked quite big because it was just a clear crystal, whereas my friend had a darker colour, which made it look smaller (bare that in mind peeps!)
Anyway I got home and decided to change it myself, slightly painful but I did it! The studs are so tiny but you get the knack eventually!(not recommended ) And was much happier, but then.......... I found it was too small and it was actually falling into the hole so I put my old one back in, then came the return of my parents, they really liked it and said "blimey I thought it was going to be much bigger than that!" what were they expecting!!!!!
Anyway I love it now it healed straight away even though I messed about with it and now have the perfect jewellery, I'm so glad I got it, and am now about to get my septum pierced!!! (make my nose even more shiny!)
If anyone is thinking about getting this or just having the piercing bug and want something done, I strongly recommend it! It doesn't hurt much and it would definitely suit anyone (just find the right jewellery). Oh and also people always ask me if it gets in the way when I have a cold, and the answer is NO, it really doesn't (in any case it's a good excuse to pick your nose!)
I hope this helped and I would be happy to answer any questions!!!
Happy piercing!!!
