My First Nose Piercing.

My sister is a piercing junkie, She has a total of 12, and she is the main reason I got into them. For the longest time I wanted to get my nose pierced, I spoke to my parents about it and my mom said she didn't mind if my dad didn't. This was my problem.

As much as I loved piercing, my dad really doesn't. I never quit though. I tried to put it into perspective [ Tip, Always use something worse to compare, if your parents are anything like mine, they will except your first choice] Well, earlier in the year, my sister asked for a belly button ring, my father wasn't thrilled at all and immediately dismissed her idea. So I went with belly.

I asked my dad if he would prefer me get my belly button done or my nose. Instead of rejecting the belly he decided that he would be okay with it. That wasn't the answer I wanted.

He told me to ask my mother if it was okay if I got my belly pierced. She accepted. Lucky for me, my dad doesn't know much about piercing so I was able to convince him that a nose was better. In the midst of my convincing, my sister asks if she can get a tattoo.

Rejected once again, we didn't give up. We showed him the pros and cons [Okay, cons were cut a little short] of both piercing and tattoo.

The day finally came when he let us try it. We were both able to get what we wanted. Fortunate for my sister she got hers that weekend, but I had to wait due to a trip to Dublin.

My day came. Finally.

My mom, Me, and a friend of mine went to a piercing parlor in Kaiserslautern, Germany. The same place my sister gets all of hers done. Javades.

Javade is a very helpful and nice guy. He tells you exactly what he's going to do and when he's going to do it. My excitement raged as I filled out the papers. My mom made it quite clear that I could back out anytime I wanted. I refused.

He finally took me to the back room where he keeps organized containers of all the jewelry, a doctors chair, and the rest of his needed utensils. He picked out about 6 or 7 colors and told me to pick a color of the stud. I chose red, then he explained that he used the best titanium steel in the area. After he finished explaining he told me to have a seat. While in the chair he explained everything that he was going to do and straight off the bat told me it would hurt but the numbing gel would kick in about 20 seconds after the piercing was already done. I expected the worse.

I took a seat and he got his appropriate needles, tongs, rubber bands, sterilizers, numbing gels, q-tips, gloves, hand sterilizers, and pen.

He sterilized my nose, inside and out, either 5 or 6 times. Then he marked where he thought it would be best placed. I agreed. He put the rubber band around the tong so he didn't have to hold it on my nose. And applied it to the marking on my nose. He took another sterilized and erased the mark on my nose, then applied a bit on numbing gel.

He asked me repeatedly if I was okay, and if I still wanted it, I guess I was a little pale.

At this point I was so nervous and excited that I was shaking a little bit. He asked me to moved more toward the left side of his chair [The side I got it on.]

Before he ever picked up the needle he told me to close my eyes.

He didn't do any kind of breathing things like I hear about a lot. He just didn't tell me when he was going to push the needled through.

I'm going to admit, I underestimated the pain, but it wasn't horrible.

I didn't cry, or even tear up for that matter, but it was still like getting hit in the nose.

After he pushed the needled through he told me to keep my eyes closed, then I felt another horrible pinch.

Thinking that it was just now getting pierced, he told me to open my eyes. The second pinch was getting the nose screw in. It hurt just as much, or even more then the actual piercing itself.

After everything was over, he gave me a vile with a cleaning liqiud inside. Explained to me how to clean it, and how many times a day.

I suggest nose piercing to everyone because there easy to take care of. Just make sure you can handle pain fairly well and get a good person to pierce it. Next I'm looking into Vertical Industrials and orbitals. Anyone with advice, please email me.
