Double Septum, Twice as EASY!!!

So on I trotted through piercing bliss, getting a few various others, mainly my scaffold and conch piercing, which I might add had a lot of problems with, and they seemed to take months to heal but hey! So back to the point, the day is a Monday, i`ve got the day of work which I have well earned, so its time to get my septum pierced. Having already spoken to the piercer about it she said that shed be happy to do it although it wasn't her favorite piercing to do.
Anyway I went through with it and Christ it hurt so bad, I thought my head had been cut off!! And it bled a lot for about 3 weeks! Not deterred I was desperate to get the second one in there, so I went back to the same person and got told it could not be done!!! (I must add that the studio now has a bad rep for turning away work!)
I sort of knocked the idea on the head for a while, as you do, get wrapped up in other things, work. Kids and so on. I was talking to a really nice lady at a tattoo convention about it; she was working at one of the stalls. She commented that it would be easy for the "very experienced" piercer working at her studio, access all areas in Nottingham city center. I had heard of access before, and I do go to Nottingham to get my tats done, so why not.
After spending at least 45 minutes trying to locate the studio, I'm not very good with directions! I finally found it, boy!! Was I amazed! The place is huge!! I mean the waiting room is probably bigger than any other studio I've been in. and they carry loads of jewellery, they have these dragonfly things for P/as so I'm also going to get one of those off them!
The lady behind the desk remembered me from the convention, and seemed pleased to see me, she even remembered what I wanted (impressed!), I was handed a booklet with a few sheets to fill in, all about my medical history etc, and as I peeped through the rest a funky certificate, hey these guys have some brilliant ideas and make you feel special!
Because it was lunchtime, I had a little wait, so I just browsed through some leaflets on other piercings, and looked at my now piercers portfolio. Very experienced is an understatement, and to my untrained eye the piercings were incredible consistent with a good quality to them.
I got called up stairs, were I was introduced to john (jp), a very mild mannered acquiring sort, at first I found him a little intimidating but then he reassured me, I don't believe it was the way he was but simply the nightmare experience I had before, as he talked to me about my last experience he reassured me again, and I felt really happy for him to pierce me. So on I sat on a couch/chair and got the first anesthetic on my nose, which felt tingly a little like pins and needles. I comment on how I thought it was just a placebo effect which made him chuckle, as I was sat there I couldn't help but notice there was some funky dance music on, other studios i`ve been in seem to play heavy rock, or old pants music. So another tick there for access.
We went through the aftercare, which to be honest was minimal, and then he got the jewellery out of the sterilizer, right in front of me, as I laid back waiting, john looked at my septum for placement, and explained that he actually does this piercing free hand, to minimalise trauma to the area, I was happy with that!!
"Just bear with me one second whilst I do the piercing" "ok piercing done" I can remember this like it happened 3 seconds ago I replied "bollocks, I didn't feel a thing...... that's if you've done it..." I think he chucked again, ok "you'll feel a little pinch as the jewellery comes thorough" which I didn't, he clicked a button and told me to look in the mirror! My double septum, it was, well, a septum, a double septum. I smiled thanked him profusely and left.
The piercing itself was painless, afterwards was quite easy as well, I got a little warmth from it, and the usual crusty stuff but that was it, pretty good id say and not at all like the second.
I have been back numerous times now and am never let down by them and their professionalism, defiantly an impression ill have for life and tell everyone I know about.
Get your ass down there if your into piercings, they'll sort you out!!!
