A little info on myself: I'm Davie. I'm 19 years old and from Winnipeg, Manitoba. I have been into piercing and body mod since I was 13 when my ex girlfriend Lindsay got me into it. My first piercing was my eyebrow, then my cartilage on my ear, then several lobes, then my snakebites, a couple surface piercings, a couple more cartilage and a septum. I'm no wuss for pain, but piercing still makes me nervous. Non-the less, it's an amazing experience for me. I find it sort of spiritual. It gives you a rush no one can describe. This is a story about my Septum piercing that I got on a road trip to kenora, which is in Ontario Canada.

Sarah, Jared and I went to visit a kid named Leighton. Leighton told us that about an hours drive from kenora, his aunt did piercing and could hook us up. I've wanted my septum ring for quite sometime, and we all thought this would be a memorable way to end our trip.
We packed up early, and started driving towards this unknown destination. After a two-hour drive, we arrived in town and visit Tattoo4u. Stacey (Leighton's aunt) was busy doing a tattoo. We spoke with her through the saloon gate that she has blocking her little tattoo room. We told her we were friends of Leighton and he told us she could hook us up. We were quickly shocked by the snappy reply that he shouldn't have said that and to come back in 3 hours. On our way out we noticed the sign that said, "If you are looking for a deal, get the hell out!" Not a professional atmosphere for a piercing place.
Sarah and I decided to nap for a while in the blistering sun, while Jared took a walk. He later came up to us saying, "Check this out bitches" holding up his shirt and two freshly pierced nipples. We flipped balls and decided to go to Bear's Den Tattoo Studio & Body Piercing, where we met Kirsten (the piercer and a suicide girl) and her boyfriend. After smoking a bowl or two (I know, it's a no-no, but hey? who could turn down a bowl with new friends?) I walked with Kirsten's boyfriend to the bank to get out $$$ (they don't have plastic).
Kirsten is an attractive piercer who has suicide girls posters all around her workplace. When I saw her I instantly knew I wanted her to shove a needle in my nose. She had dread locked hair and it was green white and black. She and her boyfriend were the hottest modified kids I've ever seen. He has tattoos which have a halloween feel to them. Most of them are of farm things such as corn and pumpkins, but with an evil mutant twist on them. They're both real nice people :)
I came back and sarah was on the bed, getting ready to get her septum pierced. Sarah was so nervous, at the sight of me got up, and told me to go first. I was nervous as well, but i was around jared so i acted tough. She clamped me and stuck the needle. She asked if I wanted to hold my breath or not, and I said no because I love pain. The needle went through and it got tough as it slid between the layers of skin. My eyes started to water, and soon I could no longer see. She took the ring, placed it through the hole in the needle and put the ring through. She went to put the bead on but I stopped her because I wanted to flip it up for work.
It was Sarah's turn. Kirsten cleaned up, and got ready to do another piercing. After much hesitation, Sarah was ready. Sarah just got her nose pierced on the nostril because she's a wuss. I don't really know how her process went because I was too busy looking in the mirror and admiring my new piecing
We signed a wall for travellers that said we were from winnipeg.
We paid (it was 50 bones, but totally worth it, and we left. we drove home and made it just in time for the dashboard show.
In all the healing went great. In two months, it was completely healed and had no more crusties on it.

Since that piercing, I have only gotten my left nipple pierced. I loved my experience at Bear's Den Tattoo Studio & Body Piercing, and I highly recommend it. I am happy about it!
