It took me one week to decide,

Then 120 hours of waiting,

and 10 minutes for the aftercare lesson.

Then it was good and in my nose, which took about 4 minutes, tops.

It all started with my friend getting her smiley done the week before. She told me the girl before her was getting her septum done, and how the piercer asked if she wanted to hide it; flip it up. And I thought that was gold. I could hide it from my parents, and still maintain the actual piercing by showing it off in other places not supervised by my parents.

I had endless questions about the process, but when I told my friends, they all swarmed me with more questions and thoughts. "Will it hurt? How are you going to stand the pain! Good luck knowing you." Well of course it will hurt. It's a piercing. Think about it, a needle will pierce through your skin in disobedience of your body. A wound, a breaking of flesh, you tell me, will that hurt?

But of course, I was still nervous. I had been planning this since the beginning of the week, all 4 days pushed back due to appointments planned out without my knowledge. But the day came, Thursday after summer school.

Before I knew it, I was walking into the cold studio, goblins glaring at me from the side of the walls. Another man was getting his tattoo re colored behind me. His presence was comforting; I knew I was not the only one. Then after seeing him I knew this was not the only time I will be entering next! and doing business with them again.

Jacob picked my bar out, and handed it to the lady beside him. My friend got her nipple ring checked out and we were pulled almost immediately into the dark room behind. The atmosphere was soothing, with the postal service playing in the background, I was set. I relaxed my head and looked around the room and studied it. The rook was clean and reassuring. No backing out, I did not even put that thought near my head. I sat there on the bench, waiting for what seemed like hours before he re entered the room with fresh needles in his hands. He called me up and I sat on the table facing him. Apparently at the time I was shaking. I did not realize it I was focused on looking for any slight hint of Jacob's pierced penis. He cleaned my nose a bit, fooled around a little,

Then it was time to get my septum done. He indicated when he was going to put the clamps in, which by the way, did not hurt much at all, told me to breathe in, then out, breathe in then out, breathe in, needle through, then out.

Haha funniest thing ever, my immediate thoughts were, "What the fuck that's all?"

But there was more to it, when he stuck the receiving tube in, I could feel it a bit. But my eyes did not water at all. Again, it really depends on the person. There was no blood, which I was really sight about. Then lastly he stuck my jewelry in, I loved it, and told me it looked great on me, and I tipped him 5 dollars. It was beautiful and I loved it. The only thing is that the day after, my nose felt really dry, although it was not. Still loved it.

A week later, after some criticism, I still love it. And I can tell, I will love it forever. Seems a bit corny, but the bottom line is that I love it. I flipped it out yesterday people loved it. Some stares, a LOT of "wow"s. good or not. I love it. Hiding it from my parents is probably the hardest thing about it. The other day my mom told me I had something in my nose. It's all worth it though. Besides, it better be. I spent 80 dollars on it.

I would not recommend piercings to everyone, but only the ones serious about it. I guess septum hurts the most for some, and not so much for others. For me, it hurt less than my lobes. It will hurt; just don't complain like a little bitch. But any person serious about a piercing won't care about the pain. They will love it, and that is all that matters. Now I'm thinking of getting a spine tattoo. I will not even start on how much that will hurt, but I will think of how much I will love that. Asking how much a piercing will hurt is dumb. If you think the pain is that bad then do not get it and save your complaints. Again, just for the serious people! No complaining.

And plus I really like septums on little Asian girls. It's too cute.
