When I was 10 I got really into body modification. I started asking for a tattoo. My parents said hell no. The next year (for my B-Day) I asked to get my naval pierced. I really wanted a Tongue piering but I thought that they would rather let me get my naval. Well I was wrong and they said no. The year after that I asked for my tongue and again they said no. When I was going to turn 14 I asked for hem to let me get my eyebrow or my nose piercied. They said no again.
At A Glance Author Audrey Contact Audrey@bme.anon When A month ago Artist Stan (I think) Studio Cheap Trx Location St. Louis Every time I had asked them I had done atleast 30 pages worth of research. This year i asked for an Aint-Eyebrow or a Vertical Labret. I had printed out pictures and the risks of it. They actually looked at them this time and said that they would talk about it. After about a week they said I couldn't get those, but I had the choice of either a Nose or Eyebrow piercing.
I thought about it for two weeks making sure I would get what I wanted. I really didn't want either. My sister had just gotten her nose done so I wanted something different but I didn't want an Eyebrow because I didn't think it would look too good. I couldn't make a decision. I talked to my friends about it and they told me to get my Nose pierced. I got onto BME and read all of the stories that were on the page about both the Eyebrow and the Nostril. I looked at all the piering pictures too.
I choose to get my nose pierced, but on the left side. The left side has alot on meaning spiritualy to me and anyways I had always wanted it on the left side. Which is a good thing because my sister got hers in the right.
My sister was kind of mad though cause she had to wait until she was 19 to get hers done ,but she waited four years to get hers done and so did I.
I was so happy I could barely think of anything else. I had to wait about a month before they would let me get it done. Because I had to get my grades up. So a couple of days before i would get out of school my dad took me to Cheap Trx. My Best friend Katie came with me . I choose to get a ring instead of a stud. It only cost $30.00.
Stan took me back to the piercing room. It was awesome. He took about a half-hour going over the after care. During this the jewelry was geting starilized and all of that good stuff. He was really gentle. I had to relax back in the chiar while he got ready. I saw him changed his gloves like 5 times and that made me feel alot better.
He told me to take three breaths and on the third he would pierce me. It only hurt a little bit and my dad said I said ow when the needle went through. I was too focused on trying to relax I didn't even notice. Katie couldn't even look at me getting it done though becasue she has a fear of needles. I'm really glad she came with me though. She was joking around and laughing which made me less nervous. After he put the needle in I wouldn't open my eyes cause I knew I would freak out about seeing a needle right in front of my face.
As he put the ring in it felt really wierd. My eyes wouldn't stop watering, but he said that it happened to everybody. He handed me a tissue and told me to come back in about 2 months if I waned to change it out. When we left I was so happy I couldn't stop smiling.
I fell asleep when we got home though cause I had gone to a party the night before and was whiped out. During my sleep I had tugged on it and hit it alot. I cleaned it in the morning and before I went to sleep. So far it looks like its alredy healed but Im going to wait to change it out. I can't wait to get another piercing. I love them and the next one I want to get in the Vertical labret. You dont see it alot anywhere and I love anything unusual. All in all it was an amazing experience and I recomend the nostril piering to anyone.
If anyone in St. Louis is looking for a great studio I would go to Cheap Trx. They actually listen to you and you dont have to wait very long to get it done, also they are very friendly there and extremely sanitary.
