Due to lack of funds and trust in others, everything I have pierced has been done by myself or my cousin Lizzee. (Two lip, tongue web, eyebrow, nose, bellybutton twice along with multiple play piercings).

I knew for the longest time I wanted my septum pierced, and since it was my favorite piercing I knew it needed to be professional. Seeing as to how I am only fifteen nowhere would legally pierce me without my parent's permission. My parents HATE mods of all sorts, so they would never sign for me, though they don't even say anything when I get a new piercing. The only place in the city I knew of, that didn't ID was Heads. Okay so, I've heard some bad things about Heads, but I knew that if I didn't get my septum pierced, I'd do it myself, which would be much worse.
My cousin Lizzee came over, because she's always with me while getting pierced. And she is amazing. We walked the hour across town and we arrived at Heads. I wasn't nervous, but I was excited. We went in, only to find out the Piercer (Zach) wasn't in. Disappointed, we left but I was determined to get it pierced. We started to walk to the next closer place that could possibly pierce me. Hoping that my 5 facial mods, and the fact that I look much older than I am would let me get pierced. As we were walking it started to rain. NO. It started it pour. It was a miserable day. We went to lucky 13, which was closed. We then went to Generations, which said the piercer ALSO was not in, and then we saw a sign across the street from artistic impressions(which we knew we couldn't go to because they're actually good, and wouldn't pierce me.) We went in and spoke to a man, who was doing airbrush paintings. He said his friend was the piercer, and gave us a phone number. After a brief stop at Pizza Hut, we got back to my house. I called the number, but there was no answer. Lizzee and I decided it wasn't meant to be, because life just works like that for us.
A few days later I recruited my friend Kasper to come with me to Heads. We took the wrong bus, but got off and walked there. We asked for the piercer, and he seemed kind of pissed off like he didn't want to do it(perhaps because it was 9pm) He went into the back, and came out asking me what gauge I wanted, and what kind of jewellery. I said I didn't care, but chose 16 gauge horseshoe. He called me into the backroom, and after asking if she could, Kasper came in as well. I sat down in the chair, and she stood up against the wall.
Zach started marking my face trying to get the dots perfect and even, and he was really nice doing so. He comforted me by telling me about when he had gotten his septum pierced by his friend, and I could tell he really cared about mine because he was really careful and kept telling me how he wanted it done perfectly. He changed his gloves a couple times, and put the clamps on my nose. They came from a sterilized package. I held the clamps while he got the needle, I have heard that the clamps are the worst part, I however enjoyed the feeling of them. He brought the needle to my nose, he asked me to breath in and out, which I kind of failed to do. While it was going through, I hardly noticed, except for the fact my eyes watered up. I jumped up, and asked if I could look at it in the mirror, he gave me a funny look and said something along the lines of "There's a needle in your face" I told him "I know! I love needles" and glanced into the mirror. Kasper later told me I said that too excitedly. I regained composure and he slid the jewellry in, it stung a bit but was totally bearable. Zach said he thought I reacted better than he thought I would. He told me that if I had any problems, I could come back in or call him. I was ESTATIC.
Here comes some more trouble.
As I went to pay, I realized. OH MY GOD. THEY DID NOT TAKE DEBIT.
Okay so, yeah, I should have realized this earlier. I sent Kasper off with my card to take out money, and sat there stupidly waiting. She came back multiple times and she only succeeded in getting 40$ out of my bank. Which means. NOT ENOUGH. My wonderful septum was 60$. Zach told us we had to leave something as collateral. I offered to leave my coat and purse, but he said no, because it was very freezing outside. Kasper reluctantly gave up her cell phone. All the walk home she was practically crying because that phone is her life.
It's been about three months since I got it pierced and it was only sore for a few days, especially when I bumped it. I've had a lot of trouble with getting accidentally punched in the face which didn't help either. Crusties did occasionally appear which was easy to fix by cleaning it constantly.
Heads is a great place, except for the fact they don't ID. I'm considering going there to get my bridge pierced. By the way. Getting pierced by Zach rocks, but is also scary. He's kinda intimidating, and I felt like he shouldn't be touching me because he was too hot. But yes. My septum experience was amazing.
