I got my 10 piece corset piercing about a year ago ... I always said that that was going to be the last piercing I did, go out with a bang and do something totally amazing to mark the end of my piercings.

I was in Nanaimo on a shopping spree with a friend when she asked me why I didn't have my nose pierced, she has hers done and she always thought that it would look really cute on me. So I start thinking, "Huh ... I never thought of that ... maybe I WILL get my nose pierced!!" At first we debated on getting it done right then and there, but there was one main thing stopping me ... I wanted MY piercer to do it.
I've been pierced by Sheena several times, and she was the one who did my 10 piece corset piercing so I trusted her more then anyone when it came to putting holes in my body. She's a complete sweetheart and I always feel completely at ease when I'm in her hands, no matter how nervous I may be at the moment. I'm also hoping that at some point she'll take me on as an apprentice.
I talked to another friend who had been wanting to get her conch done and we both decided that we would go and get it done that coming week on Thursday. I went in, made our appointments and then waited anxiously for the day to come.
I wasn't nervous at all when the day finally arrived, I was more anxious then anything! It had been over a year since I had been pierced so I was extremely excited. I love the entire process of getting pierced - the sanitation smell, the feel of the needle, the clamps, the receiving tube, all of it! And obviously the fantastic adrenaline that you get afterwards. So we meet up with a third friend who wanted to take pictures and watch and headed over to Black Rose.
We did the usual "signing you life away" and then went right in and Naomi went first. It was nice to watch someone get pierced for a change, I'm usually the one who always gets work done and people are always getting to watch ME, this time I got to watch which was quite fun for me. I surprised myself by slightly flinching just as she was about to pierce Naomi just because I honestly thought that this piercing was going to hurt!
It was over really quick and she didn't even flinch, I was really impressed. Then it was my turn. I picked out a simple screw with a small crystal in it and then sat on the chair while Sheena set everything up. She cleaned out my nose and then placed a mark exactly where I had wanted it, I checked it out in the mirror - looked perfect!
I layed down, and the needle receiving tube was placed in my nose - it felt REALLY weird but not uncomfortable by any means. She told me to take a deep breath in, and then tadaaaa - needle was in! It was SOOOO quick that I didn't even have time to think about whether or not it hurt, but my eye started watering like CRAZY! When your eye waters your first instinct is to sniffle ... but I still had the needle through my nostril as she was turning around to grab the jewelry. I had to hold back sniffling profusely before my jewelry was put in and I could wipe my eye that was still watering.
It was over REALLY quick and didn't hurt at all - but I think having the corset piercing done really numbed me to pain. The jewelry is quite distracting at the moment, I can see it out of the corner or my eye which makes me go cross-eyed quite a bit just to see it.
It's only been a couple hours, I'm very aware of my nose and I can feel the jewelry at some points where it kinda feels like I have a really gigantic boogie in my nose. It bled a little bit but I cleaned the dried blood with a q-tip when I got home and I still haven't really felt any pain, it's throbbing a bit but not anywhere close to unbearable.
I already completely love it and I'm still high off adrenaline at this point so I have the ability to ramble on and on without shutting up which I'm sure I've already done!
I thought my corset was going to be my last piercing ... since then I've been contemplating a tragus piercing. Yes, it never does really end now does it? Not that I'm complaining.
