So I've pretty much wanted my Septum piercing for a while now, about a year and a half. I was supposed to get it at the beginning of grade nine, but the guy who was supposed to do it left. As months passed, I still wanted this piercing very badly. A couple months ago, I found out one of my friends have started piercing her name was Nicole.

One day I messaged her over Nexopia (it's like my space) and asked her if she would pierce my lip. I never thought of asking her to do my septum, because at the time I really wanted my lip done to (witch didn't even hurt at all) as the week passed, I had told her I really wanted my septum done, and if she could do it for me. She had told me it wouldn't be a problem but I had to wait for her to get the money to order in the tools. Nicole had told me she needed to do more piercing to get the money to order the tools, I had told her I wanted my Monroe done to, so she did my Monroe. After she did it we had talked about Septum piercing for a while.

So about a month after that, I saw in her journal, 'My order finally came in, for anyone who wanted a septum, tongue, or industrial piercing' so I messaged her, and asked if she'd do my Septum, she said yes. It took about two weeks before I got it done though, because I had to save up my money.

I messaged her again, telling her I had about 45$ and the piercing was only 35$ though. She told me Saturday or Sunday would be fine to come to her house and get it done, I picked Saturday obviously, as I was so excited to finally be getting my Septum done, a couple of my other friends had gotten it done with in that week, and I had asked them how it felt, and they told it hurt. So I got nervous.

I started to go on this site, and read about people and their experience on getting a Septum piercing, witch kind of helped me, but only made me more excited and nervous. It was Friday night the day before I was getting my Septum done, and one of my best friends were over, because Nicole was going to pierce her tongue as well. Well that night I could sleep, and all my friend and I could talk about was how nervous we were. So the day finally came, and I had the worst butterflies ever in my stomach. It was about 2pm, and our appointment was at 4. We didn't get to her house until 4:10 though, because of the bus was so late.

My friend decided to get her tongue done first. It pretty much was the grossest thing I've ever seen, Nicole had to redo her tongue, because the first time, then needle feel out, as she was putting the barbell on it. After about 20 minutes of freaking out, because of the tongue piercing, finally it was my time to get my Septum done.

I sat down, took a bunch of deep breaths, and she put this stuff on the sides of my nose, witch smelt bad for a second, after that, she took the needle out of the package, and I started to breath really hard and my heart was probably pounding louder then a drum set. I chose a 16gauged needle, because I was scared the bigger the needle the more pain. (I'm lame, and I'm scared of needles.) Although the 16gauged jewelry look just fine, because I have a small nose, and anything bigger would of looked bad. When she put the clamp on, my eyes started to water a bit, it was probably one of the worst feeling I have ever felt, it was like a broken nose.

I started breathing even faster and harder, and I was even more scared, it took me about 2 minutes before I was actually ready for the needle to go through, Nicole had asked me, if I was ready, I had meant to say yes, but some how a no came out, I had my eyes closed, but then I waiting thinking she would put the needle through, I opened my eyes, and I saw her ready to stick it in, Nicole asked me again, "are you ready?" and I replied, yes.

She counted, 1, 2, 3, when I had heard 2 I was so scared, probably never that scared in my life. (Haha) the needle was through, and it had felt like I was punched in the nose, when I already felt like I had a broken nose because of the clamp. When she was taking the clamp off, it hurt a bit, because it felt like it was pushing the needle down, and I was scared if that needle feel out, and she'd have to re-pierce it and id have to go through that pain again, although it only lasted about a couple seconds, she connected the horse shoe to the needle and slide it through, it was probably the easiest part of the piercing, and the most painless.

After that, it was just stinging for the rest of the day, it felt a lot better after leaving and being out in the cold. I got a couple of weird and dirty looks from people in their cars. But I must say, it was probably one of the best experiences of my life. And it looks absolutely gorgeous. And I think the size, and the jewelry really fits my face good.

The next day, it didn't hurt anymore, it just stung every once and while, and I ended up hitting myself in the nose a couple of times, but it wasn't that painful, and my nose didn't really swell up that bad. Monday the piercing didn't hurt anymore, but the people at my school were rude about it, and kept asking me, why I had got it, and how gross the piercing was, and others just asked if it hurt.

Well, I hope this helps whoever reads this, and if you plan on getting a Septum piercing, to get it done. It's a beautiful piercing, it looks really good, and the most pain only last's about 4 minutes.
