So for the last two or three weeks I had been thinking about getting a new piercing. I had been waiting because I couldn't get a new one due to my clinical rotations for my nursing classes, but they are done so now is the time. I hadn't quite decided what I wanted done. My choices were my nose or my lip. I really love lip piercings. My boyfriend has one and I love it. But I wasn't quite sure if I was ready for that. On the other hand, it seemed to me everyone, I mean EVERYONE, has gotten their nose pierced in a short period of time. So I put off the decision because at that time I still had rotations at the hospital left.

My cousin, tongue pierced, ha ha ha, she's kind of a weeny. But that's beside the point. But for you out there that know me. I LOVE PIERCINGS! I get a crazy rush from it. Weird I know, anyways. So of course I had to get in on the action. I had been contemplating it, getting my nose pierced. REALLY REALLY want my lip done but am going to wait a while on that. So I'm sitting there (still at work at this time) thinking about how bad I want it done, then I start thinking, maybe I want my tongue done too. Me, the person who always said how much I disliked them. The fact of me contemplating on getting one, something seemed wrong there.
So nose it was. So we get there down in the Old Market, my favorite place in Omaha, it's the older (hence the OLD) part of Omaha, really artsy and such, anyways I love it. The environment is so incredible. That just adding to my overall awesome experience. So we walk in and I can't believe how nice it is. At this point I'm not sure, if its going to be my nose, my tongue (eek!) or hell why not even my lip. Nose seemed the most thought out so I went with it.
So Kady, Andy (her boyfriend...well not quite sure what anymore) and I walk back. A that point Kady said YOU HAVE TO GO FIRST. Well of course .I was SO excited! I love it, everything the environment EVERYTHING. and Big Brain is such an awesome shop. It's clean, well kept and just a really cool place. The lobby is huge and it doubles as an art gallery. It's just amazing. Definitely going to remember this place next time I'm up for a tattoo or piercing. No wonder they are so well known.
Anyways...So I sit down and he (Colin the piercer) asks me, so what side do you want it on....oh my god I forgot to figure out what side I wanted it on, still I wasn't sure. So I'm like hmm surprise me. Of course he's like sorry I really can't do that. Andy says LEFT. Then left it was. I'm totally happy with left by the way.
So the process starts. First he cleaned it as usual. Then marked the spot. Next the clamp on. Now take a deep breath on 3 1.2.3. At that point I hear Kady, oh my god he's not done. He was, I could feel it. So now it was jewelry time. I have a ring. it's the only thing they use at Big Brain. He said it is better for it for some reason. And as usual jewelry insertion is the most uncomfortable part of the whole process. So I feel the ring in my nose and I start to get up. He's like whoa I need to put the ball in. Oops guess I get a little excited. Then he said, you're one of those people gets that huge rush of energy aren't you, Yep that's me I guess, I did the same thing when I got my industrial done in my ear.
Overall, It was fun I love my new piercing. It only cost $20 ( a usually $35-$40 piercing, and no not a shady place or anything, they had some holiday sale or something going on, everything was cheaper this weekend) This just made me love my new piercing even more, because I can afford to get my lip done now really soon.
