After a lot of thinking about a new piercing for myself, i finally decided a stud in my nose would be perfect. Being at the beach, I thought it would be a good time to go through with the new piercing. I expected to find a lot of piercing shops, and I was willing to look for the best. Much to my surprise, I could only find one: 420 studios.

I'm not even going to lie. This place looked unclean and unsafe from the outside, but you can't judge a book by its cover. So, in I walked to find a very nice, professional studio. By this time, I'm getting really, really pumped. I wasn't very nervous because I kind of like to get pierced.

I walked over to a large man behind a counter and tell him what I want done, and he asks which side. I had already decided that I wanted my right side done. A very nice woman in the shop, who also helped me with my paper work, had her right side done too, and it looked very nice. He said he usually does left sides, but it would be perfectly fine to get my ride side done. After paying the seventy bucks to the front cashier, I headed back to get my stuff done. The woman helped me pick out my new stud and told me a lot of helpful information about my new piercing (such as how much hers hurt and how to clean my new piercing, and she was just overall friendly) and i ended up going for the same stud as her (which she said would leave the smallest scar if i ever wanted to take it out).

I walked into the piercing studio and sat in a red chair. I then asked about all the cleaning methods and the piercer explained everything to me right down to his experience and he even told me that he did the girl's who helped me out earlier. I was content with him punching a hole in my nose, so it seemed that everything was a go. My piercer was extremely nice and explained everything really well, and didn't seem rushed or in a hurry to get me out. He took his time and let me see the dot on my nose and it looked kind of odd at first, but he said that's the usual spot, so i went with it. I didn't want to regret this later and I figured that he would know best. I sat back down and he cleaned my nose got out the clamp. He put in on and before I knew it he was pushing a needle through my nose. It didn't hurt and the stud slid in well. He told me to keep the loop part to the back and to make sure I kept it clean, and washed my hands frequently. It looked very classy and I was super happy I decided to go with my right side.

I ended up buying a cleaning kit for about ten bucks and they gave me a care sheet for free(which was very good that they give everyone a care sheet because new piercing can be tricky). To my surprise, it didn't hurt very much. My nose felt a little sore, but not anything I couldn't deal with. I left to go ride go karts. I ended up looking at it from the side of my eyes to see it sparkle in the sunlight. I was extremely happy with it and i would totally go back to get more piercing from them soon.

It was in north myrtle beach south carolina, so if you live around there..that's where you should go.

It's been almost three months since then and i have to say that trying to change my new stud hurt worse than actually getting it done. I cried a lot when I had to put it back in because it was really tough , and didn't slide in well. I am currently looking for a hoop, which is not too successful. so, if you want a hoop after you can change it I suggest getting it when you get pierced so you can change it later. The healing process went by super quick and the only hard part for me seems to be putting on make- up around it, and accidently pulling it out with my towel when i dry my face. It never got infected or gross. Also, clean it really well after you shower because it gets grosser than you'd think. All in all, i'm glad i went with it and I love having my nose pierced. If you're thinking about this, I would say go for it. It's a good first piercing and had a small pain factor.
