It's been a while since now, like 6 months ago. But I remember it like it was yesterday.

I knew this piercer's reputation and the shop he worked in for some time and I went to him and asked if it was possible to do my septum at a larger gage. He said that it was no problem and that he could pierce it directly at 4mm.
Sometimes I wonder why I decided to let Lucas pierce my septum at 4mm since it was the second piercing he ever did on me, but I don't regret that he did it.
A couple of days later I went to the shop and I told him that I was ready for it. I wanted my septum directly at 4mm.
He first explained me how to take care of my new piercing and then told me he would get the piercing chamber ready.
As I stood there my nerves where kicking in, I was getting second thoughts, meaby it was better to get it pierced at 1.6mm and then stretch it up to 4mm. I told him that I was getting nervous and that I was thinking of stretching it up instead of getting it pierced at 4mm, and he told me that it was my choice but I didn't had to be scared it would hurt either way.... Somehow this made me feel better and I said that it was fine to do it at 4mm. I really don't like septum piercings at 1.6mm they give the impression of wannabe piercing. I don't know how to explain it but that's what I think of it.
After Lucas prepared the room he told me to come in. Still a bit nervous but also a bit calmed down I entered. I could lay down on the table and relax he said, so I did, I tried to relax by breathing in and out very deeply and it worked well until he cleaned my septum with 2 swabsticks and some disinfection alcohol. Damn it smelled bad, it really did. Lucas then placed the marking spots and said that he was happy with it. Next thing I know was that there was a sponge clamp on my septum, and it wasn't a pleasant feeling. He took the needle and told me to breath in very deeply and breath out slowly. When I was breathing out the needle went through it, and damn it hurts like hell. It's until now the most painful piercing I have.
He took the CBR and told me to breath in once more and breath out he pushed it right behind the blade and this didn't hurt that much.
He cleaned it and I had a septum piercing at 4mm.
Afterwards I was standing in the shop for a nice talk with Lucas and I felt the endorphin rushing through my whole body, my hands where trembling like hell. But after all I'm happy that I let him pierce my septum at 4mm. I'm very proud of that one, just the fact that I had the guts to get it done, because if you see the needle you ask yourself what the hell am I doing, it's real big you know...
The first weeks I had my new piercing my parents weren't allowed to know it so I wore a septumretainer, but that's not that comfortable to wear, and the tip of my nose was sensitive as hell. My friends took real advantage of that by slapping it every time they saw me...
This piercing was the second one I let do besides my ears but it's the piercing I'm the most proud of. It looks great, my girlfriend likes it a lot, my parents hate it, but I just love it and this is definitely the last piercing I'm taking out. After that I learned to know Lucas better and he did a lot of other piercings on me which I'm also real proud of because they're not the average piercings.
So to everyone who is thinking of getting his/her septum done at a bigger Ga, I would say go for it, it might hurt a lot but it's definitely worth it. Go to your room watch in the mirror say "hell yeah I can do this" take all your courage and go to your piercer, take a deep breath and it's done... and for all you Belgian kids go visit Wildcat in Antwerp ask for Lucas, he's one of the most qualified piercers in Belgium around these days. So that's my experience I hope you enjoyed reading it. And remember no pain no gain.
