My septum-piercing experience began with me wondering what to do with extra cash I had leftover from a rather lucrative paycheck. I've always been interested in body modification, so the natural choice would be a piercing or tattoo. I finally decided on a septum ring after much debate, and coaxing from my roommate. She wanted to get her eyebrow and lip done at the same time, and I was to be going with her for moral support, so why not get my septum pierced?
At A Glance Author Wenchlette Contact Wenchlette@bme.anon When Six months ago Artist Matt Studio Kreative Khaos Location Brantford The day I was to be pierced, the shop called and said that there wasn't anyone available to pierce me for the appointment that I had scheduled. Bummer. They offered me a $10 discount if I would reschedule for the following day. I had waited this long, so I agreed, and went in the following day. I'd heard a lot of great things about Kreative Khaos, and didn't want to cancel my appointment just for a conflict in staffing.
The next day, my friend and I went down to the studio. It was an impeccably clean, very professional place to be in, with lots of information available. I was extremely nervous, my stomach churning the whole time. There was a bit of a wait, as there was a mother/daughter ahead of me getting their rooks pierced. I sat back, tried to relax and looked at all the pretty distractions, including photos of previous clientele. I also used that time to read up on aftercare, which didn't seem nearly as difficult as the tongue piercing repertoire I had previously had experience with. My face must have been pretty white by this point, since the staff asked if I was feeling okay, offered juice and told me to take deep breaths, which helped a lot. They were so great and understanding.
I met the piercer, Matt, and was impressed on sight. This guy had a wide variety of body modifications; ranging from tongue splitting to scarification to brandings and many piercings. I jokingly asked him if he knew how much the septum piercing hurt, and he laughed. Matt picked up a pencil, waved it and then shoved it through his nose!! Turned out that he had a tunnel in place, and I couldn't have been more surprised. I went ahead and chose a 14 gauge captive bead ring to get pierced with. Since I didn't have much experience in picking out jewelry, Matt recommended a cbr, since it's easier to clean and has no chance of getting snagged on clothing. The price was very affordable: $45, without the discount, including jewelry. I also bought Dragon Mist for healing, on the advice of the heavily-modified woman standing in line behind me.
Anyways, my piercer led me back into the piercing room and let me sit down in the chair. My face was flushed and I was feeling quite woozy, and he told me to relax. I mentioned that I had previously had my tongue pierced (3 years, retired now) and he told me without hesitation that my septum piercing would be less painful, as there's no swelling and barely non-existent blood. Matt did a great job in keeping me entertained as he took out all of his tools soberly. My friend and I were amazed at the calming quality that this piercer exuded, and before I knew it, he was asking me about placement. I nervously agreed to the spot that he had marked, and grabbed my friend's hand for support. He cleaned my nose near the placement and double-checked that all of the tools were placed in a comfortable position. What followed was one of the most spiritual experiences of my 21 years of life.
When Matt told me to take a deep breath, I inhaled through my nostrils with my eyes squeezed shut and exhaled slowly. At this point, he gently placed the needle against the skin of my septum, and told me to breathe even more deeply. I gathered my breath again, and that's when he pushed the needle through. Tears automatically sprung to my eyes as the most-intense orgasm I've ever had in my life racked my entire body. I opened my eyes widely and just looked up at Matt, and back to my friend, pleased at their awe-struck looks of disbelief. I was moaning and writing in the chair as Matt popped in the jewelry and bead.
I breathed deeply again, and closed my eyes as a euphoria passed over me. I didn't bother wiping the tears from my eyes at all. When I apologized for my reaction, Matt just laughed and said "I wish more people had the same reaction - it'd make my day a lot more interesting!!" As he disposed of his utensils, he made jokes about me loving pain, and jibed that there were needles available at pharmacies if I wanted to explore the masochistic side of my sexuality with a lover. I just blushed and averted my eyes, since what I had just experienced had rendered me speechless.
He sat down with me afterwards and gave me a sheet on aftercare, and explained the placement of the jewelry. He also assured me that if I had any questions to not be afraid to call them or come into the shop to get advice, help changing jewelry at a later date, or discounts on future modifications. I left Kreative Khaos with the biggest grin! My newfound confidence showed immediately in the compliments I received the day after getting the piercing. I exuded strength and self-esteem all due to a modification. For years I had taken unsafe measures to release my emotional pain as something physical, in a very dangerous way - what a change.
I would recommend the septum piercing to anyone! It gave me such a sense of power, and being a Taurus had a special double-meaning. There was no blood at all involved with this piercing, and the pain? Hardly any! Just be careful of accidental bumps when taking off clothing - ouch! Of course, the orgasmic result of this modification may give me a slight bias, but this piercing will remain with me for a very long time.
