I have always loved looking at piercings and people with them. My parents were always a little taken aback by these very same people. So naturally every time I talked about getting piercings they would look at me funny and say "yeah right". They were okay with my getting my ears done but that was basically the end where they were concerned. When I was 16 I got my belly button done with a lot of begging...but that's a different story. Fast-forward two years to senior prom weekend. My friends and I went down to Seaside Heights Beach to celebrate and have lots of fun. I knew I wanted to do something memorable to make things fun.

Studio Adrenaline Location Seaside Heights, NJ While walking on the boardwalk one day with my best friend we found out that there was a piercing studio right there. The guys who worked there were really cute, which drew us over there even more. I first looked at the jewelry because they were busy with customers. When the other people left the guy asked me if I needed help. I asked for his prices on tongue and nostril piercings. Both were reasonable ($50 for nose and I can't remember the tongue one!) I told him I was interested but that I would be back later because I needed to talk to my mother (yes I was 18 but I still asked for permission). So we left and saw another hot guy with his nose pierced so we decided to ask him if it hurt and how he liked it and such. Well, he said it was a little pinch and that he really loved having it and that I really should get it because "girls with nose piercings are really cute." I said I probably would and we left.
After leaving there we caught up with the other kids who came down with us and told them my idea. I forgot I didn't have money so my friend said he would spot me the cash. I was happy as hell, so I called my mom right away. She was confused because she thought I said before that I didn't want it because it hurt, but said yes anyways. So after hanging up we walked over to the studio again and told them I was ready this time. I have them all my I.D. (high school one with b-day on it, and my birth certificate), (thank goodness they didn't need a state-issued one like many because I don't have one!) The piercer came out and brought me to the back where the piercing took place. I made my best friend come back with me because I was a little nervous.
When we got back there the piercer found my jewelry (a cute pronged-stud) he told me to sit in the chair and relax, which was a little hard because I knew a needle would be going through my face in less than 10 minutes! He put on some gloves and told me to breathe because he said I looked a little scared. We talked about what was going to happen. He marked it and told me to look in the mirror. (I chose the left side). I was under the impression that it was supposed to be somewhere else, but he assured me that the mark he made would look best, I listened to him because he was the piercer not me. I went back and sat in the chair, I made my best friend hold my hand.
The clamp was put on and it was a little cold but not too much pain, I was actually cool at this moment. But then he took the needle and told me to take a deep breath as he stuck it in. I have to admit it hurt a little but not as much as people made it seem. As he put the jewelry in that hurt a little and of course there were tears because of the tear ducts that are nearby. But overall the pain definitely wasn't unbearable and It didn't bleed that much.
Afterwards, he told me how to clean it and if any problems occurred that I should not hesitate to call the studio and ask questions. He said it looked really good and he hoped to see me again. I thanked him and walked out. My friends all liked it and said it fit my face, which made me happy!
The healing process was good. I didn't have many problems, except when I took out the jewelry and couldn't get it back in for about 20 minutes. I have a little bump inside my nose but it does not hurt and things are doing well. I love this piercing and I'm thinking about getting the other side done also, but I don't know. Anyone considering getting their nose done should do it, it looks cute and it doesn't hurt that bad!
