I have always been quite fond of pierced nostrils that are adorned by cute, petite and sparkly nostril screws. I have desired one for years, however for those years, I had a significant other who was not fond of the idea of me getting my nostril pierced. He specifically told me not to get it done, that it would look very unattractive on me, and he would laugh at the sight of it. Discouraged, I decided against getting my nostril pierced, for that sole reason.

I had been upset about the whole situation, and felt that I needed something to boost my confidence and to show as a symbol of my liberation and independence I now had regained due to the demise of the relationship.
I decided that getting my nostril pierced would be the perfect antidote to my yearning for a symbol of my newfound independence and liberation. So, it was decided upon, and would happen in the near future. I went ahead and found the nostril screw that I would want to wear in the piercing, and purchased it for the future piercing. I wanted to go that day and get the actual piercing done, however I would be going on vacation to the beach a week later, so I decided I'd rather not go with a super fresh and healing piercing. Therefore, I delayed and waited until after vacation was over to get my nostril pierced.
I had at first thought about piercing my nostril, at home by myself, however was unsure of the placement that would look best, so I rushed to Lambadi City in Fairfield, Ohio and visited my wonderful piercer, Casper to let him pierce my nostril for me!
After signing the papers and letting him copy my ID, he checked out the nostril screw I brought with me to use, and he said that it looked like it was fine to use.
So, we went back to the piercing room, where I have been time and time again, and firstly sterilized the jewelry. After the sterilization was complete he got all of the piercing equipment ready. He got out a sterile needle, receiving tube, and a sterilizing swab. He marked my nostril where he thought the piercing would look best, and I looked at it in the mirror and okayed the placement. He then rubbed the sterilizing swab over my nostril and put lubricant onto the needles end. He then put the receiving tube inside of my nostril hole, and lined up the needle with marking. He told me to breath in deeply, and upon my exhaling he forced the needle into my nostril. I felt the needle forcing it's way through my nose and felt the pinching of it, but there was no extreme pain involved. When the needle was through, Casper then inserted the nostril screw into the new hole.
Casper then gave me a couple pieces of gauze and instructed me to press it onto my nostril, because it had began to bleed. I held it in place for a few minutes, and the bleeding came to a halt. I then threw away the gauze and went to the front to thank Casper, pay and tip him for another job well done! I was very happy with my nostril piercing and the procedure.
I left the shop happily with my nose slightly pink from the pressure and infliction the needle caused. My nostril burned a bit, but had stopped bleeding. I looked into my rear view mirror a lot on the way home admiring my new feminine and sparkly piercing.
It is now a few days post piercing, and my nose seems to be doing just fine. There has been no crusting what so ever, and it is still slightly tender upon touching it, however I have not had any problems, thankfully, with the piercing.
I must include in this experience, that I found the first few days that it was awkward feeling the nostril screw inside of my nose, it felt as if something was stuck in there, similar to when you need to blow your nose, however, this feeling declined over the days, and now is rarely present. It was just getting used to the piercing being present.
I also would like to include that I am pleased that I chose to go in and have Casper pierce my nostril for me versus my first instinct of piercing it myself. This opinion is due to the fact that I probably would have misplaced the piercing, and not have been quite as fond of it.
So, overall, I am very happy with this piercing experience, and have found that my aftercare of using dial antibacterial soap is working quite well at healing my new piercing!
