This was not my most sponteneous piercing, because that was definitely my navel, but it was definitely the most random.

I never really even gave a nose piercing a minutes thought, I though of it as a bit to girly, and I know that was pathetic, but most places near me that do nose piercings are hairdressers, who only pierce with gold jewelry with jewels in them, and that really isn't me.

It really was BME that opened up my eyes to other materials and types of piercings, and it made me reconsider that perhaps a nose piercing was for me, and that a double would be even better, because of my symmetry complex.

Because I was very poor I hadn't planned on any piercings for a while, and just added it to my list of things to get in the future.

But then I started arranging to go down to Bournemouth to do a shoot for my second year university documentary project at Sarge's Metal Fatigue piercing studio, and thought that why not get something done while I'm down there.

I was going to get my lip pierced, and so ordered some vegan mouthwash, but I didn't get it in time, so I decided, why not get my nose double pierced instead.

When I got there we did some filming, and spent the whole afternoon in Sarge's studio filming, and I was pretty nervous, deciding and un-deciding to get it done. I watched loads of people get different stuff done, lips, nipples, eyebrows, and the more I saw Sarge pierce the more confident i became.

He was very quick, and I only saw one person look like they were in pain when getting there piercing, and that was definitely less than usual.

Near the end of the day, when the studio was beginning to get less busy, and I was charging the camera's battery for the corset piercing we were gonna film later, I decided to go across the road to Paradox to buy some twists for my nose.

I looked for all of a few seconds then asked if they had something I'd seen quite recently online, some blackine twists, with discs on the top. They did have them, so I got those and went back over to Metal Fatigue, glad I had exactly what I wanted, and didn't have to settle for standard jewelry.

We filmed the corset piercing, then waited a bit, and eventully it was time for me to get pierced.

I was quite nervous because i'm really not very good with piercings, the endorphene rush usually makes me shake really badly, so beforehand I usually start to shake a little too.

I went into the piercing room and sat down in the chair, there were quite a few people watching me, which I didn't mind, it kind of helped, because I knew I couldn't cry or anything (I've done it before, well when I was ten), because I didn't want to embarass myself.

There were two people taking pictures of me, sarge, and one other of the people I had come down with from Bristol to do the shoot.

Sarge cleaned my nose, then stuck this big metal thing up it, to stop the needle going right threw my nose I presume, it wasn't the most comfortable thing, but I braced myself as soon as it went in my nose. Then sarge stuck the first needle in and then the twist in quick succession, the first one wasn't too bad, but it did make my eyes water, and I so could of easily cried.

The first one was done, now for the second, the process was repeated, but the second one hurt a bit more, I don't know why, it just felt like there was a bit more force on my nose, which made my eyes water once more. I thought my nose was going to bleed, I put my head back, but it didn't bleed, thank god.

I then went over and looked in the mirror, my whole nose area was bright red, but I was high on the endorphene rush, and feeling a bit weird, so I was kind of quietly pleased with my new double piercings, gave Sarge a big hug, then we gave Sarge a lift home, then

back to town then headed back.

We then had a long journey back to Bristol, and I kept going to scratch my nose, forgetting the twists were there, it was irritating, because I one of those people who constantly scratches and blows my nose, so It made it kind of difficult.

When we got back to Bristol I showed my girlfriend, and she really liked them, she said she thought they made me look cute, aww.

I've now had them for almost two weeks, and I've almost fucked them up quite a few times, I'm constantly almost knocking them out, because the twists just wont stay in, they move around quite a bit, and when they half fall out they get pretty sore, but that only lasts a few seconds. I've ordered some more jewelry, this time some screw on blackline nose studs, because I don't want to knock the twists out, and have to get them repierced, because that would be really annoying.

The general feedback on my new piercings has been pretty positive, I think generally with the discs you cant notice them that much, so my nan isn't that bad with them, I'm glad I got them done, and am more eager to get more piercings than ever before.
