Just yesterday I got my septum pierced. Ever since I was in grade 7, I'm in grade 11 now, I've wanted to get it done. I just never had the money or parental consent to actually do it. I'm 16 now so off course I don't need my parents anymore. So the day after I got paid, I work at McDonalds, I went and made an appointment for the next day after school to get my septum pierced.

I couldn't believe I was actually going to get it done. Of course because I didn't sleep at all I ended up falling in class again. I even fell asleep during my math test. All I could think about, when I wasn't sleeping, was that I was going to get my septum pierced.
When School was over I went over to my friend Lindsay's place because she wanted to see me get it done. My appointment was at three so I had time to kill. When it came time to leave we got into her car and put the stereo on which had Korn in it. This is perfect music to get me ready for my septum piercing.
When we got to The Tunnel my friend Lesley and her friend Melissa were waiting for me, they wanted to see me get done as well. All four of us went upstairs which is were Russ' piercing studio is located. We spent a couple of minutes talking to him in his office about suspensions and other stuff like that. At this point I was very excited and probably the happiest person in the world. We soon went into the piercing studio and he asked me what size I wanted to put in it and what ring. I wanted something kind of big so I decided on the 12 gauge ring. The only problem we had was that because I work at McDonalds I'm not allowed to have any piercings on my face. So Russ had the idea to take the ball out of the ring and open it so that I can flip in my nose when I'm at home and work.
He also showed me the different ways of piercing it. He was going to pierce it with the septum clamp but because I was piercing it with a 12 gauge needle it didn't fit. So he decided to use a receiving tube and just a needle. During this time Lindsay had to leave for a second because she had to get something from her work. She came back just in time for me to get it pierced though.
Before Russ actually pierced it he checked out my nose to find the perfect spot to pierce it. He used a mini flashlight to see in my nose which was actually really funny. Than he made me make this weird face so he could see something in my nose or whatever. Lesley and Melissa couldn't stop laughing at me. Finally he got me to lie down on the like padded bench that moves up and down like a dentist's chair. I started to calm down. I'm always very calm during the actual procedure. He told me to close my eyes and to start taking in deep breaths. While I was doing this he got the needle and receiving tube and as I exhaled he pierced my septum. My eyes were watering because you know even just tweezing a nose hair your eyes start to gush water. It hurt but it wasn't excruciating. It felt kind like a big pinch. I liked it. It wasn't a bad feeling at all. It was kind of a good pain.
As Russ was getting the ring Lesley gave me a paper towel to wipe my eyes so I could open them again. He put the ring in and it was done. I sat up and he cleaned it for me and then it started bleeding. It was only bleeding on one side though, the side he pierced it through. There wasn't much blood. Too bad, I really like blood especially my own. I shoved like a paper towel up my nose to get it to stop. Well actually Russ shoved the paper towel up my nose. When it stopped bleeding I watched Lesley get her Monroe redone then we went downstairs to pay.
I stayed for a couple of minutes to talk to him about cleaning, taking care about my new piercing, and about some jewelry for a couple of my other piercings. He told me to clean it everyday when I wake up and before I go to bed with Spectro gel. After I paid I went to go meet Lindsay in her car and we went to my house and then back to hers. That night I had work so I had to flip it inside my nose and unfortunate for me the head manager was there but he didn't even notice it. Finally I got no complaints about my piercing that day. My shift ended at 12:30 am so when I got home I cleaned my piercing and my septum started bleeding again. It was only like a couple drops of blood though.
I've had it for at least 2 weeks now and it feels like i've had it done my whole life. I love it to death, type o negative song lol. I'm so happy I got it done. This is by far my favorite piercing. I finally got it done!!!
