I have many friends at school who think that I am some wuss for pain. After all, all I have had done is my ears multiple times. But my friends all have tongue rings and what not. And I wanted one.

She has an in home business that is a 24-7 thing. Anywayz. She is really kool especially for only being 50. One night we were watching a really lame movie and out of no where I told her I wanted to go get pierced. She was completely cool with it...but there was one problem...my parents.
I called my mom and dad and told them that I was thinking of getting a new piercing and either of them thought I would go through with anything. I told them a tongue ring and that was a definite "NO!". So we chose the next alternitive...nose. They didn't think that I would do it...but I was determined. So I looked in the phonebook for a decent piercing place. I found The Golden Rule in the yellow pages that took up most of the page. I thought it looked good so we made it for the next day.
We didn't really know where it was that we were going, but we drove around until we found them. I was surprised at how small the place was, but you never know. When we walked into the little shop there was a couple people getting tattoos in the front room. The owner told me that the piercings were in the back and that someone should be back there.
We walked into the back room and there was a really cute younger man in a chair. He asked me what I wanted and I told him a nose ring. He then showed me the selection of studs and rings I could chose from. Once I found the one that looked perfect for me he led me into a very clean, sterile, and white room. It reminded me a lot of a doctors office or when you go to the dentist. It took him a few minutes to get everything ready, but it was completely worth the wait. He put the cleaning stuff on my nose and laid me back in the chair.
I must admit that before this I was afraid of needles, but now i really don't know why and love them...but anyways, he told me what he was doing when he was doing it. He put the cork thing in my nose and said that it will stop the needle from going in to far and that would be a bad thing. DUH, but yea, I have had this little beanie baby thing since the first time I got my ears pierced, and it is small enough to be put in a sweatshirt pocket. I found it and held on to it. He started to tell me to breath, but I guess I wasn't doing it because the next thing you know he is breathing deep with me. He turned my head over towards him. (and i must say...very nice sight). He slowly counted to 3 and in went the needle. I didn't feel a thing except my eye tweeked a little bit...I thought it was kind of kool at the time. hehehe. Then out of no where I heard, "so when will it stop bleeding?" I didn't think of that. but after he cleaned up all around the new hole I was able to go. After he told me the after care of course. I got a little light headed on the way home, so i kept my head back. I thought it was a really cute little stud.
When I got home I called all of my friends and none of them believed me. That next monday after break I came to school and everyone was just so amazed that I would go through that kind of pain. But it really didnt hurt.
All in all I would definatly go get it done again if I had to. It didn't swell like kutie had told me it might. The only problems I really had with it after it was done was when I would sleep, I would turn my head to the other side of the pillow and while doing this, ripping it out so it would be gone in the moring. That was not a good thing, but it never closed. It has been about 3 months and It looks a lot smaller and very kute. There is a clear stud and a 14 karot gold post in it. The piercing cost about 90 dollars, but I like it. Plus, my grandma payed. I would recomend this to anyone who is even thinking about getting it done. There is no during or after pain involved. It was a great thing. Now on to the tongue and my tattoo... heh, that will be another story.
