At the beginning of the year I met up with a friend off the net and I decided to get my scrumper/smiley pierced. My parents hated it and a few months later they offered to pay for my nose to be pierced if I removed my smiley. So I did and last week my mum and me went to get it done.

Bmezine has been wonderful and proved me wit the info I needed to make sure it was something I wanted to go through with.
When I got to my usual studio punkture it wasn't open so I had to wait around a bit. Julia finally turned up and opened the shop and we went inside. I filled in the form and chose a ring with a dark grey ball.
Then it was time for the piercing.
Julia is the best piercer in my area, she previous did my lip for me back in September and I was very pleased with her piercing skills and service.
I walked up stairs and sat on the dentist like chair. First Julia cleaned her hands and put on the plastic gloves. Then she opened the sterilezer and took out some metal treys and took out her tools and lay them out on the surface top. Then she opened a clean needle and lay it in one of the treys. She cleaned my right nostril and marked off a dot were the hole would go. I checked it in the mirror and asked my mum if it looked ok then and we both agreed. I sat back in the chair. At this point was really scared and I was almost shaking with excitement and fear. Julia said it'd be best if I kept my eyes closed, so I did and a few seconds later I felt the needle go through. It was a sharp pain followed by a long throbbing feeling. It was so weird, my lip was never that painful and it was quicker but my nose felt so weird because it took longer for the needle to go through. Once the ring was through I opened my eyes and water comes gashing down my cheeks. Julia jokingly said, " we know your not really crying". It was so fucked up how much my eyes watered tho. The whole time it was being pierced I wanted to open my eyes but at the same time I didn't dare. It was like it lasted forever but was really quick.
The worst part of all was when the ball was put in the ring with the pliers. The sheer throbbing pain of it is just so nasty and horrid. Once the ball was put in the ring it was all done.
I jumped up and looked it in the mirror. It looked really good. I felt kinda dizzy and light headed.
But then I got to sit back down so my smiley could be removed; it hurt when the ball was taken out of that as well.
After that I went back down stairs and the women behind the counter had a look at it and I got my saline and cleaning guide.
Then we left the shop and walked to the car park, I kept looking in the windows of all the cars and houses trying to catch a look at my new nose ring. I kept looking in the mirror in the car as well.
It was sore for a few days afterwards and it did go a bit skanky and yucky. But it's cleared up now and looks really good. I love it to bits and it was well worth losing my smiley to get it done.
I've considered doing it myself but in the end it's always worth paying the money to get it done professionally and it's always worth going to a decent studio.
In a few months maybe for my birthday I'd like to get my left nostril pierced, it'd look pretty damn cool. I've seen a quite few people with both nostrils done and it looks really good.
I recommend Punktured to anyone in the south of England area so I'm gonna leave a bit of info on the place. It's located at 76 queen's gardens/north road Brighton, East Sussex.

My new piercing has boosted my confidence even more; I think it looks really great and it suits my small button nose. Hopefully once my nose is healed I can get some new rings and studs for it. I'm considering getting a blue spike and a little stud with a blue gem in it.
It was definitely well worth the £17 I paid for it, which is pretty cheap, and it was really well pierced.
