A few months ago I walked into my local shop with my dad, sister and her boyfriend, who also have a few mods. We sat down in the lobby and waited for Seth to get done with his other customer. He got finished and as always he came in and greeted us. We talked about paintball, new piercings, and other stuff. The subject of septum piercing was brought up by my dad; he notice Seth had his done. He answered all his questions, and I guess you could say my dad dared me to get mine done, he did not think I would do it, but when I said to myself "I have been wanting this for a LONG time, do it while you can". I thought about it and asked Seth what kind of jewelry he had. I needed something to hide from my mom, because if she found out, we would all have broken legs. Seth goes into his room and brings out two retainers; both were black, so I thought to my self great. One was 8 gauge and the other was 12. I said let me have the 12. He went back and cleaned it up for me. Cal led me back to his room, my family followed. He told me to lie down and to start taking some deep breaths; he said it could be a little "intense." I did what I was told and the he proceeded to line up where the cart ledge was located. He put the receiving tube on one side and the needle on the other, (this is the worst part about it.) He told me to take a deep breath in, and as soon as I released the breath he pushed the needle through. As he did that my sister and her boyfriend yelled like little girls, it was the funniest thing I have ever heard in my life. He asked me how I was doing, I was fine. He then put the retainer in and told me to sit up slowly. I sat up and a little blood squirted out. I looked in the mirror, and grinned like a kid on Christmas. First thing I asked him is when can I start stretching it. He told me in about a month. This piercing is great, especially if you life to stick stuff though your piercings.

I did not show it to my friends at school for a couple of months and finally decided to show them. How I showed them was pretty funny, I bet them all $10 I could stick a toothpick through my nose. They all said I could not do it and that it was not physically possible. So naturally they took me up on my offer. I turned around and took out my retainer, and while they all watched a stuck the toothpick through my septum. I saw a few turn away and others stare in amazement. I made some money that night.

After that I decided to stretch it. I wanted a big gauge quick. First I slipped my 10 gauge rings in their, no problem. I left them in for a while, then my mom was getting a little nosy about what this silver thing in my nose was, she saw it while I was asleep. So I took out my ring and put my 12 gauge retainer back in. A couple of weeks later the hole got smaller. I finally went to Seth a told him to stretch me up. I went from 12 gauge to 8 gauge that day. THAT HURT, it hurt so bad I almost cried, but it was well worth it. A couple of weeks past and as soon as that heeled I went back for some more stretching, I went from 8 gauge to 6 gauge. Not a big jump. Finally I got to were I'm at right now, I went back for another stretching session. I want to go for 2, but he said no, it's too big of a jump. He goes a looks for a 4 gauge plug, but he could not find the right size plug. So Seth sat down and talked to me about going to a 2 gauge. I told him it's what I wa nted to do. He went and got a 2 gauge plug and cleaned it. He stuck the taper through and when it was about ¾ though I could hear the cart ledge POP. Seth kind of squinted when he heard it, but I knew I was at a 2 gauge. He put the plug in and told me I was crazy.

It has just now finally healed. I love it. Don't second guess yourself if you want this piercing. Don't worry about the pain, it might be a little much, but it's well worth it. A tip, try to keep it a secret and try the betting on sticking stuff through it to make some money.
