Well, where do I begin? I already had my septum pierced three different times. I had it punched once. The three times I had it pierced, it came out crooked. I had it punched one time, but the plug came out by some odd reason. So I lost that too and it shrunk down to a 14 gauge. Okay, this leads me to now. I call up Body Rites (the finest studio around) and spoke to Zachery Kerr about dermal punching it again. He said he could. So it was set, I set a date up for the procedure. Until then, I began researching it on BME. I read several expierences and saw several pictures of large gauge septums. I was aiming for 0 gauge. I spoke to Zachery again about the size I wanted. He said he would have to look at my nose. I knew I had the nose for it, I am Jewish and have somewhat of a large nose anyway.

Slowly the day was coming near. I mentally prepared myself by doing breathing skills. The day finally came and I went to Body Rites. He looked at my nose and agreed, I could have a 0 gauge. Me and zach were discussing jewelry options. He recommended a single flared 0 gauge plug (I was going for 0). He said he would punch at 2 and taper to 0. I said cool, Then it was a go. He had me wait while he prepared everything. I sat around for 15 minutes, looking at the jewelry and such. I found the 0 gauge bone tusk they have for sale, very beautiful. Finally he called me back and boy was I happy. I saw him wash his hands and then glove up. He also wore a surgical mask. He then opened a second package of gauze and gloves. He then double gloved and opened up the package to the taper and the biopsy punch and layed it on a sterile sheet on a little silver tray.
He told me to sit down and hold my head back. I did soo and so he began to mark it. First, He marked the outside because my septum is deviated as hell. He marked the outside and created a line on the ridge of the nose. He did some more marking on the lower nostril parts. He examined it for a few minutes, and made some more marks. He had me lay my head down and off the bed a little. He then began to mark some more. He then began to mark inside my nose. this took a good 15 minutes. Thats why I like zachery, He makes sure everything is right. Finally he was finished. He kept talking to me, easing my mind and what not. He told me to take three deep breaths. Before I did, I told him to tell me when he was ready to do it. He agreed. And then I took several deep breaths. This lasted for about 5 minutes. I took deep breath after deep breath. I was ready for it and there was no turning back. I then said to Zachery I was ready.
After several breaths, he said "are you ready?" Me being nervous, I said "yes". He then grabbed the biopsy punch. He told me to take three deep breaths and on the third hold it and let out slowly. And so I did. On the third deep breath he says "Here we go!" And what I felt was intense! I felt a lot of pressure on my right side of the nose, then this really sharp pain hit and I could feel it going through and boy did it hurt, and when it was about to exit I felt a sharp pain then a huge burst of pain! Then I felt it go through all the way. After that, I was in pain and I could taste blood in my mouth. He then tapered the plug in. Which hurt as well.
He said "you did good." He had me lay there a few minutes once he cleaned all the blood off my nose and inside of it. We spoke a little. I spoke of wanting my lip scalpeled. He was still cleaning up. And opened up some more gauze for me to have to control bleeding. I sat up with blood taste in my mouth. I then spit up this big loogy of blood. Blood began to run down my nose again, I wiped it off with gauze and held it there. I then sat up and Payed, I tipped him 20 dollars. He deserved it. I then was on my way.
