A little over a month ago I was thinking about getting a new piercing. The last time I got something pierced was almost two years ago and I really wanted a new piercing. My choices were either to get my tongue pierced or to get my nose pierced. I really wanted to get my tongue pierced but I had already asked my dad about it awhile ago and there was absolutely no way he'd let me get it done. I decided to get my nose pierced because I knew my dad wouldn't really mind since it's part of our culture and a few of his sisters have their noses pierced.

March 1st was the day I got my piercing. I started off my day by going over to my boyfriend's house. My boyfriend said I should call to make an appointment because the piercer is only there until 7:00pm and that way I'd be sure to get pierced. I asked my boyfriend to call and make the appointment. He got off the phone and told me that my appointment was at 6:00pm and to bring ID.

At 5:00pm my boyfriend and I left his house to catch the bus. We must have missed it because we waited for 30 minutes. On the bus ride there I was really nervous because I thought we were going to be late and I really thought that getting my nose pierced would hurt. We got off the bus and we headed to the bank because I needed to take out some money. We got to Art Addiction a little before 6:00pm. There were quite a few people there. One of the tattoo artists came up to my boyfriend and I and asked if we needed any help. I told him that I had an appointment. While we waited, we looked at the wall art. I saw two of my tattoos on the wall. After about 10 minutes I went to the counter to tell the girl that I had an appointment. She asked if I was getting my nose pierced. I agreed. She told me to wait a few minutes because she was very busy. After she was done with the other customers she asked me what kind of jewelry. I asked if it was poosible to get a nostril s crew when you first get your nose pierced. She said yes and let me choose my jewelry. I chose one with a small light blue stone. She asked to see my ID and got me to sign a paper. She told me it would cost $65. I paid and looked at some more wall art. I had to wait for 2 girls and 2 ladies to get their navels pierced. While I waited a lady asked me what I was getting done. I told her I was getting my nose pierced. I aksed her what she was getting done and she said her navel. I told her that it really hurt which probably wasn't a good idea because I think that made her more nervous. Around 7:00pm Diane told me that she was ready for me.

She brought me to a little room in the back of the shop. I recognized it because I had been there when I got my navel pierced. Diane told me to sit on the dentist type chair. She asked which side I wanted it on. I told her the left side. She drew a little dot and showed me the mirror to see if I liked where she put it. She told me that if I didn't like it she would put it somewhere else. There was no need for that because it looked great where she put it. She gave me some tissue and told me to go in the bathroom and clean out my nose. When I was done I got back in the chair and Diane told me what she was going to do. She stuck a receiving tube up my nose to make sure the needle wouldn't poke the inside of my nose. She told me to close my eyes and take deep breathes. I did and I felt a little pinch. I was so suprised that it didn't hurt. Diane put some tissue in my hand and told me to open my eyes slowly. I opened them kind of fast and a tear rolled out of my l eft eye. She told me that no one listened when she told them to open their eyes slowly. She told me that I should clean my piercing twice a day for six weeks. I was to dip a Q-Tip in warm water to get rid of the crusty stuff and to put sea salt in a shot glass with warm water and dip a Q-Tip in it to clean the piercing. I thanked her and gave her a tip.

It's been exactly four weeks and my piercing looks great. It was a little red the first few days but now it's fine. If you're thinking of getting your nose pierced I totally recomend it. It doesn't hurt at all and it looks really cute. It also helps to have a great friendly piercer.
