I have always been interested in piercings since my older sister first got her labret pierced. So initially for my 14th birthday I got my eyebrow pierced. Both piercings that I had done were by the same guy. The eyebrow piercing was so awesome but it only lasted like 4 months and then it started rejecting. It pissed me off so much! I was so mad. I knew that they didn't last forever but I though that it would at least last a little longer than 4 months. So after I had taken it out. I decided that I wanted something else done. I always really liked the look of my sisters septum piercing and with a little coaxing from her, I finally decided that I would get it done. To save me money I decided to use a circular barbell that my sister had in her septum before she stretched it. So one day after school about a week before I actually got my septum pierced, I took the circular barbell over to Adorned to get it cleaned so it would be ready for when I would come back to get my septum pierced.

So one day after school, I went with my sister and her friend to Adorned. I was extremely nervous, but seeing as my sister was friends with the piercer I knew that everything should be fine. Now what I didn't know was how much it would really hurt. From what my sister had said, it didn't hurt that much at all, mind you for her; he had messed up the first time and had to repierce her septum so it would be straight. So we are at the shop, and the piercer (I use this term very loosely) greeted me and took me into the back room. My sister and her friend were both there watching, and giving me moral support. He cleaned my nose, and drew a dot with a marker where he thought the circular barbell would look good. Jokingly I told him to make sure that he gets this one right this time, unlike my sisters. He gave me a sneer and then he got out his needle and stuff, and started to get ready to do the piercing.

I was now getting really nervous. He wasn't really helping me at all with making me feel better. So he then took the needle and pushed it threw my cartilage. It hurt like a bitch. Embarrassingly enough I started sneezing, and clear liquid started pouring out of my nose with some blood in it. Then my eyes started to water. It wasn't a very pretty sight. So to make it all better so I would remember it forever, my sisters friend snapped a couple pictures of the grossly sight. This went on for a few minutes. Then he told me that it was crooked and he would have to straighten it. So he proceeded to pull out the needle halfway and push it back through. It was now straight, but that hurt even more than the initial one. I started sneezing again, and that continued for a few more minutes. Finally, after about 5 minutes he told me that he would have to put the circular barbell in, so I braced myself and let him go ahead and do it. I didn't feel that much pressure when he pushed it th rough. I sat on the bed for another minute and got up and looked in the mirror. I paid him and we all left. It was cold outside and the cold air blowing on my nose made it sting a little but also made it feel sort of better in a weird way.

It looked good, and suited me well. I was happy with the outcome. It was still really tender and sore. It was not the best experience but it had an awesome outcome. I am still considering whether or not I want to stretch it yet. But it does look really great. Nevertheless, I can honestly say that I would never, ever, ever in my life ever go to him again! He is an asshole, and takes everything way too personal. But I can say that I do want to get more piercings in the future. I just don't know where I should start, or where I should go to now that neither my or my sister go to his jerk for piercings anymore. Calgary has many shops so I guess I'll just have to try my luck and go to maybe a less qualified person, but hopefully a nicer more sociable person, that will hopefully not have to pull out the needle and stick me with it again! Maybe he should get thicker glasses so he can actually see what the hell he is doing before he tries to pierce someone with a needle!
