Well, I went into Chrome Lotus which is located in Chico, CA, where a piercer by the name the of Andrew Pierce works, I asked him if he'd taper my septum from a 4G to a 2G (Which is now at a 0G). He said it would be no problem and to come on back in a second cuz he was working with another customer which was getting pierced. He came out about 5 minutes later and said "I'm done now, you can come on back". Which was kinda a drag cuz I enjoy watching people get tattoos while I'm waiting.

He took a while to get ready (I think he had trouble finding the right gauge Taper to put in). After he found it he put some kind of jell on it to help it slide through my septum easier. I asked him what it was but I forget what he said. Actually I think that he said that it was neosporin and that's what he always uses. I asked him if he wanted me to take out the 4G but he said no and to leave it up to him. Then after taking out the 4G he took this brown liquid, put it on a Q-tip and kind of washed my septum with it. Now that he made sure he was prepared for this proceeder he said to me "sit up and do not cross your legs". So I sat up and prepared myself for the great pain and rush I'd get from this.
He made sure before we started to let me know how important it is to make sure I breathe and to not pass out. He put the taper up to my septum and began pushing, he said "Tell me when it gets tight". I said a second later, "Right now". And what I thought was going to be one quick push lasted about 20 seconds of him slowly and painfully pushing it through. And then in the middle of the proceeder, I heard a loud "Pop!", (Which came from my septum) but he kept on pushing. I thought it was his gloves just snapping at first but I wasn't sure cuz I thought it came from my septum
After he was done getting the jewelry in I asked him what the loud crack was. He replied "I don't Know. I've never had that happen before". We both went up to the counter and he said "That will be 10 bucks" I pulled out a 2 5's and gave them to him plus a 2 buck tip for doing a good job. I wanted to check out some of the septum tusks but right after I was done I only had around 10 minutes to catch a ride on the bus which was on the other side of Downtown. But when I went out the door it was like staring into a spotlight... It was so bright I couldn't even open my eyes. I stumbled around for a second and went back in and asked him "Why does it hurts so bad to look as light?". He replied "It's because your body is working with a larger piece in your septum now and it has to figure out the blood flow that works best." So I said "Ok thanks, see you later" and he said "Bye". The second I stepped outside the door I was blinded again but I had to catch my ride otherwise i t's a 6 mile walk. Then while I was walking I remembered the pop and I was wondering if that had anything to do with my eyes being so sensitive. But probably not likely.
But the weirdest thing of all out of this tapering was that ever since the tapering I've been able to pull on my septum and have it crack each time, as if I was popping a joint or something in it. And it doesn't hurt at all to do it. So about a week later I go back to him and tell him that, he said that he has no idea what happened and said that he'll ask the owner (Teri), who is (In my opinion) a great piercer and a pro in the area of body art and the true meaning behind it. She said she didn't know either and if I think that it's a real problem and I'm really worried about it then to go to a doctor who can tell me more then just the basics.
I plan one day to go to a doctor only for fun, just to find out what's going on but for now I'm having fun going downtown to put on "Freak shows" for the people with my piercings. Although now that I have piercings myself I don't see what people find so exciting about watching people with piercings hanging bricks and stuff by them but hey it gets a crowed going so I guess I'll be doing it until nobody finds it interesting anymore.
