Basically I didn't really want anymore piercings, as I feel I've got enough (both eyebrows, 1 cartiledge, scaffold, nipple, PA, ankle, tongue) and any more would only serve to make me look even more like a freak. but I figured I don't give a shit wot everyone else thinks, and the temptation of the adrenalin rush I get after a piercing proved too much. I was torn between a septum and an amphallang, as neither of them are paticually visible. I read up on both of them for ages, going thru all the sites I could find, reading experiences and looking at pics. I toyed with both ideas in my head for a bit. In the end I opted for my septum:

I always go there, 'cos not only are they the best, they're the cheapest (there ya perforations - some free advertising for ya!) (it woz pissing down - it always is in this country) and told Rob I want my septum done. The guy said it'd be about a 20 minute wait, so I coughed up my £15 and went to buy some food. I came back and sat in the waiting room for the piercer who woz doing it to finish the client he woz with.
Once downstairs he asked me if I wanted it 1.6 or 2.4 (mm - fuck knows wot they are in ga). I went for 1.6 'cos I don't really like big chunky jewellery as it's over in the top in my opinion. and he got all the stuff ready (keeper, needle, tissues etc) and got me to lay down on the table with head over the edge, so he could "see wot I'd been sniffing over the w/end" as he put it. He asked me if I wanted anisetic (the stuff that makes it numb - spelt?????). Obviously I said no thanx, I ain't had any yet, I ain't gonna start now.
At this point I woz kinda nervous, 'cos I woz thinking that my septum is kinda hard and boney, and thus sticking a hole in it is gonna hurt like shit. But I thought the hole woz gonna be in the middle of my septum, but it's not. It's right at the front, and as I later discovered it's actually quite soft there. Which woz nice as it hurt considerably less than I thought it would.
Then he stuck his fingers up my nose and woz playing about. fuck me that bit hurt. felt like some guy had stuck his fingers up my nose and woz trying to pull my brain out. then out with the fingers (thank fuck) and in with the needle (oh shit). No marking or clamping (a true pro when he can get it as perfect as mine without). He asked me how I woz so I said "yeah, never better. i thrive on this moment" (my moment of humour in my moment of pain) then he just goes "oh, cool" and sticks the needle thru. Yeah, it hurt, but I've had worse, and it wasn't actually THAT bad (his fingers hurt more). I opened my eyes (which by this point were watering quite a bit) and all I could see woz this great big fuck off needle sticking out either side of my face. Well that made me feel better. Like fuck it did. Then he slipped the keeper in and told me that woz it. It didn't bleed at all. I looked in the mirror but I couldn't see a thing (it had already stopped hurting by this point) which woz rather cool cos i gotta hide it from work and parents.
It didn't hurt at all for an hour or so then it became a dull ache, but only for couple of hours. That evening it felt like I had a boogie up my nose, but next morning (now) it's fine. I can't even feel it. And I've found if I pull my nostril back far enough I can actually see it. If I push it, play with or do anything else which is generally considered thick with a 24hr old piercing and it don't hurt at all. No shit's coming out of it. All in all a pretty fucking top notch piercing. If only all my other piercings were as piss easy as simple to heal I'd have even more. I think the fact I can't see it easily helps convince me it's cleaner than it probably is tho. I can't wait til it heals and I can whack a ring in it and look like a bull. mummy and daddy will be proud!!!!!
