This was a bit of an impulse piercing. I had agreed to take my sister down to Brighton to get her ears pierced ( She's 16) as she is allergic to gold and silver getting them pierced with a needle was the best option. I hadn't really though about this piercing much but I had been looking at some pictures of it on iam and thought all the girls looked really pretty with it and I thought I might look nice with a small CBR or circular barbell

As soon as I got there I knew I couldn't leave without getting something pierced so I thought about it for all of 5 seconds and decided to get my septum pierced. I had been looking at pictures of this piercing for a while on Bme anyway and I had always thought it looked pretty even though I knew it was going to hurt like fuck!
So I went down with my sister to the studio and leaned against the wall talking to the piercer while she got her lobes done, she had atheistic spray on them and she didn't even flinch so I thought "Right I'm having that on my septum". The procedure was over and my sister had two small cbr in her lobes. She looked kinda weird with earrings as I'm not used to seeing her with them.
We then went upstairs again because I had to wait for Warren to come back from somewhere. He did and we went back downstairs although my sister waited in the waiting room upstairs.
Warren asked me if I wanted it pierced with a 14g retainer or a 12g and I opted for a 14 as I knew I already had jewellery in a 14 at home anyway and I could always stretch it up later if I felt the need. He cleaned it, did the whole "opening a new needle in front on you" thing and then he asked me if I wanted atheistic. "Yes" I did want it, thank you very much".....stupidly under the impression that it was gonna make any difference. :¬)
So I laid down on the table thing and he spent ages lining up the needle and I though he might have already pierced because stupidly I thought that the atheistic might have actually worked!
WRONG! He pushed the needle through and it hurt like fuck!! God knows what it would have been like if I didn't have any atheistic on it. My eyes were watering and then when I sat up, I started bleeding. "Oh septum piercing's don't usually bleed" he tells me.
Great , so I sat there for about 20 minutes with a stupid piece of tissue stuck up my nose. It just wouldn't stop bleeding! I had the same trouble with my navel and my labret Just call me bleeding easy girl :¬)
Afterwards my sister and I had to go find my mum so of we went with me still holding tissue up my bleeding nose, she didn't notice though. I managed to make it stop bleeding just about by the time we met up with her... She asked me if I had got anything pierced and I lied and said I hadn't. As I got it pierced with a retainer its quite a good piercing to hide, although I did end up telling my dad that evening anyway and he didn't really care, neither did my mum, she was more pissed of that I lied about it.
So yes it hurt, but I guess all people have different septum's, Warren said I had quite a thin septum and that might be why it hurt a lot more than most peoples experiences on her iv read. It does look really good though, although I warn you be careful with putting cbr's in because my dad does mine for me with pliers because I'm not strong enough and he missed once with the pliers

Also bashing it , mines 2 months old and it still hurts if my boyfriend hits my nose when we are kissing.
You don't really have to do any special aftercare either, in fact they said I didn't have to any at Perforations, I wouldn't really recommend salt soaks as it is up your nose, I just cleaned it with a small cotton bud with water and after I blew my nose and stuff because that's not always pleasant :¬P
But I really love its a cute piercing, I wear a circular barbell in mine because I can take it out as often as I need to because of work, id love to wear a CBR in it all the time but its a lot of effort to get in and out.
