Right before i start i think you should know this is not like every other septum experience because this was not a well thought out piercing,if you had asked me the day before what i thought about septum piercings i would of said "They look nice but its not for me"
At A Glance Author XxReboundxX Contact richard-miles@talk21.com Artist warren Studio perforations Location Brighton,England I guess it all started one thursday me and a friend decided to go to Brighton for the day (normally we do this to stock up on jewellery)because anyone who lives in Kent knows it SUCKS!!!!!!! A pathetic range of high gauge jewellery and outrageous prices for body piercing e.g i asked how much it was going to cost to pierce my lobes with 2.4mm BCRs in tunbridge wells and i was told £40(if your wondering i didnt get them pierced there).
Anyway back to the septum right,we caught the 11.00am bus and started planing what we were going to buy,at this time i had no idea i was about to have to have a needle shoved though my nose.After the 2 hour bus journey we made our way up to wildcats and started buying our stuff she bought some lebret jewellery and some ear streching 10.00mm tapers(she end giveing them to me!!!)and i bought two 8mm plugs and a 2.4 tongue bar which i swollowed later that week.Now she'd spent all her money and i was hungery we went to KFC.
After that we went down to perforations to say hi to everyone i got talking to one of the piercers(warren)as i new him from the former piercings he had performed on me(lobes,P.A)and started talking about becoming an apprentice, about half an hour later i was looking though a magizine i saw a guy with a really cool large gauge septum and it reminded me of my freind Andys mate who he met at ozzfest with this really fat septum and i had spear £15 so i thought what the hell and booked myself in.
If anyone reading this has ever been pierced by warren you will know how 1.loves to talk and 2.loves to do fast show"suit you sir"impressions,but that cool it help calm me down.Anyway he took me down stairs and we started chating....for like an hour then he ask me what mm i wanted the the piercing to be performed at and i said 2.4mm as i had intentions to strech it,then warren started talking about when he had a septum e.c.t and then he asked me to lay down.
He start sticking his fingers up my nose feeling around for my "sweet spot" and ask me to tilt my head back,he said he was going to do it free hand(without a clamp)lined up the needle and asked me to take deep breaths and he was gonna count to three and on three he was gonna pierce it,to be honest i was not that worried i was wondering if it would hurt or not because after reading the experience's on this very site all i knew is that it was either gonna hurt like shit or it would be completely painless.
So anyway i started breathing 1......2.......and on three he put the needle though the longest three seconds of my life and the pain....trust me im a pussy,i even had to get my lobes numbed it is the least painfull i'd ever gone through it hurt as much as eating a biscuit(wierd example)and within a week it felt like it was healed its been four weeks and in the second week i got so bored i poped a 3.2mm C.B.B still no pain i think im going to have rip it out to just make it sting which is cool i got a thumbs up from my friends.
If you dont like being stared at by old people or peole who think tucking there trousers into there socks is cool septums are not for you infact no body piercing is for you its good to get a rise out of people and anyway having a ring though your nose is no more alternative than they are i mean when did it become normal to wear lime green puffer jackets a trousers that unpop from side.
Anyway if you live in brighton or even if you dont i recommend being pierced at perforations it has the most sterile conditions and the most friendly staff, i was impressed i have booked an apointment to get my double lebrets pireced next week and also girls that are thinking about getting there septums pierced get it done because girls with small C.B.B look really nice.
