my cute little nose |

Well here I am with my nose pierced. Something I always talked about but I never thought I would ever have enough nerve to ever actually "do it". Well I did...and it was totally worth it!I had originally wanted my belly button pierced but everyone and their mom has that done and I kind of wanted something that not a lot of people have. And after several months of trying to figure out what I wanted pierced I decided on a nostril piercing. Then I just had to convince my parents.
So I talk to mom, and she was totally all for it. Yeah well my mom and my dad are completely different. And I happen to live with my dad so he is the one who was going to be looking at it the majority of the time. Well surprisingly he said yes. I could tell that he was really reluctant, but after I convinced him that I was responsible enough to keep it clean and I promised him that I would just get a stud (he said if I came home with a ring in it he'd pull it out) he said okay.
So the day came when I was going to get it done. I made my best friend Chelsea come with me because I was pretty scared. I had read the stories on BME and talked to numerous people about nose piercings and the majority of the people I talked to said that it hurt. So naturally, with this being my first piercing (other than earlobes and cartilidge) I was REALLY nervous.
We had to find a piercing shop that would pierce 15 year olds because the first one we went to only pierced 16 and up. So we drove around a little bit and then decided to go to Sach's which I had heard nothing but good about. So we get there and my mom and I filled out all the paper work and the piercer told me to follow him into one of the back rooms. So my mom Chelsea and I all go in there and I sit down. Then I realized that I should probably blow my nose seeing as this would be the last time I would get to blow it for a while. So after that I sit down in the big black chair. My hands were shaking really bad! Then all kinds of shit started running through my head...what if I pass out? What if I move when he sticks the needle in? What if I bleed all over my clothes?!? So I asked him if he's ever seen anyone pass out getting their nose pierced. And he said that the only time they had ever had people pass out was with tongues and belly buttons. Then I'm thinking," Yeah just watch me be the first". So he brings this little tray/cart thingy over to the chair and tells me to make sure I breath really deeply. Then he puts the receiving tube in my nose and holds the needle on the outside. I grabbed Chelsea's hand and was squeezing it SO tight! So then he tells me to breath in deep and then when I exhale he said he was going to stick the needle through. So I breathed in and... what the hell? THAT'S IT???!!! I couldn't believe that it didn't hurt! So then the guy told me to keep my eyes closed and of course, stupid me has to open my eyes and there was a mirror parallel to the chair and I looked in it and there's this HUGE needle sticking out of my nose...well isn't that lovely. yeah well getting it in didn't hurt but then he had to pull the needle OUT and that hurt. not too bad but kind of a little, and then he put the screw in and that didn't hurt at all. Then he had to clean off the blood (I bled kind of a lot) and that was it! I looked in the mirror and I LOVE IT!
It's only been a day since I got it done but seriously it's not even really that sore. So far it looks really good, it's not red or anything. Now I have a cute little stud with a clear jewel in it in my nose. And I am sooo glad I got it done! It was totally worth it and to anyone that's thinking about getting it done just go for it, I have a low pain tolerance (i think) and it didn't hurt me! so just do it...Good Luck!
Q/A
did it hurt?
it didn't hurt me very much AT ALL but I really think that it depends on the person.
Did it take long for them to pierce it?
Seriously it took less than like 7 seconds
What do you clean it with?
I've been cleaning it w/ sea salt, (just get a tablespoon of sea salt put it into a shot glass w/ warm water) and saline solution (that's what they recommended I use)AND DON'T TOUCH IT UNLESS YOU'RE CLEANING IT!!!!!
