Well, My boyfriend and I had been together for around eight months when we decided we wanted to do something different. We had decided that we would do something that was completely unique to us as a couple. We decided we wanted to pierce something, but the heard part was figuring out where to pierce.

We sat for hours together on the computer looking at piercings, which ones, and reading stories on this here site. We came up with piercings no one else could see. But, we didn't know where. Either down there or inside our mouths. So, thinking about it for a long time, we decided our tongue web's were completely untouched and a perfect place for a piercing to be.

So, one night, when I was feeling quite rebellious, I decided that I would just up and do it. Right then and there. So, I scouered around my room, and looked for some new 18 gauge rings. I found two rings. One of them was missing a ball, so, I was stuck with a stainless steel 18 gauge ring with a multi-colored ball on the end. It was quite a cute ring, and I loved the colors. So, the next task I had to complete was finding the needles and getting everything ready.

I went searching all through my house looking for something to shove through the web. I was looking through a sewing drawer, when I came across this perfect sized unopened 18 gauge needle. THIS WAS A VERY STUPID IDEA. AND SHOULDNT BE REPEATED.. It was for sewing, but, I couldn't of really cared less at that time. This was an incredibly stupid idea to pierce something with a sewing needle, none the less, do it completely alone, when you haven't ever pierced anything before.

So, now was the time to do it. All of my family was out of the house, and I was left home with nothing to do. So, I went into the bathroom, with the needles, alcohol swabs, the jewelry and a rebellious attitude. I took out the alcohol swabs and cleaned off the new needle. Just incase. I opened my mouth, spit out all the extra saliva and bent over the sink. I looked into the mirror, with a picture of a tongue web piercing at my side and decided at which height on the web I should place the needle. I put the needled right in the middle of my tongue and the bottom of my mouth. I stuck the needle in a little bit and I heard that first little rip. It only bled a few tiny drops, and so I pushed even harder. I could then feel it coming out the other side. So, I put my hands on the other side of the web and just pushed the needle straight through. (Imagine where your fingers are to give someone a shot, it was like that, two fingers on the bottom side of the needle and the thumb pushing on the top.) And it went completely through, I was so happy. So, I wiggled the needle around to make a little space for the ring to slide through. I took it out very quickly, and put the ring right in. I got the ring in and noticed it was a little crooked, so, being a perfectionist I took it out right away, and put the needle in, and pushed a second hole through right under the one before.

This hole was a lot better. It was the same process but better aiming. So, I had the ring through, but getting the little ball on was the hardest thing I have ever had to do. I was handling this little tiny ball with saliva all over my hands. I almost swallowed it, and kept dropping it. I drooled all over the place, so, I occasionally had to tip my head over and let the drool just come out.

Finally, I got the ball on, and swished a few times with some water in my mouth. I looked at my new piercing and I absolutely loved it.

I had the piercing and I would play with it all the time, I had come up with many little tricks and things I could do. There was only pain when I first began eating again. Only a few little stings here and there but nothing terrible at all.

Being fourteen, and at a private school, I was so happy that I had done something rebellious. It was amazing. A short while later, I did my boyfriends. I actually did his with the same equipment and a new needle, and I did it during a break between periods at school. He loved his just as much.

A few weeks later though, I had to take the piercing out due a doctors appointment with my mother, who I didn't want to know about the piercing. I loved it and I still miss it today.
