My tongue piercing

Hi i'm Rachael for 2 years I wanted my tongue pierced.

My mum really doesn't like any piercing at all and at the time I was only 15, so I waited a year till I was 16 :)

I was pretty nervous and was imagining the most pain ever, but I got the guts up to call Body Works in Liverpool they said I could just come straight in without an appointment, as they were not busy :) I was well pleased.

My Friend Andy came with me as I was abit nervous that I couldn't get it done as I wasn't really the right age as some places only pierce the tongue at 18 :) but I was in luck because I looked well over.

I filled in a few forms and a waited for a few minutes for them to get things ready. There was a girl who went before me though getting her tongue pierced but she had and it done before and took it out and it had scaring over where was to now be pierced again I wouldn't recommend getting piercing again because she came out n it was bleeding loads didn't look very good n she said it hurt: S.

Anyway

I felt funny I was so nervous but I kept thinking i'm here now i'm a wimp if I don't. Because even though I wanted it done so much it was hard to make my self do it because I thought the pain would be too much. The lovely receptionist lady with pink hair spoke to me about everything that was going to happen and the things that could happen if anything should go wrong but she was great quite funny at times actually she calmed me down quiet a lot she spoke to me like a friend :).

I went in and the women's piercing me Shirley had lots of piercing they looked amazing; she spoke really nice and made me feel more comfortable. The anaesthetics was brilliant it tasted of bubble gum and I really liked it I could really feel my tongue at all. She got the needle out and at first I didn't look because i'm proper scared of needles I told her this to start with so she knew. She got a clamp out to clamp my tongue so I didn't move this was probably the most painfully thing I tell you but at that it wasn't all that bad. Because I was imagining a pain far worse when that needle went through. She told me to breath in and out very deeply and then she said after u breathing and out again i'm going to push the needle through. I took a big breath in and then out, I cringed because I could feel it going in but not really painfully just cringing. She was so fast it was really good she left a piece in while getting my bar I looked at this thing sticking at my tongue and it didn't bother me then it was nearly done: D. she then quickly put the bar in and then tightened the balls at either end which she said sometimes can be tricky but it was fine:). So I was done or so I thought.

There was a little bleeding which was normal and I sat there for say 15mins in the waiting room with crushed ice on it till it totally stopped she wouldn't let me go until it did.

It was great

:)

AFTERPAIN

The day after it felt really funny when I woke up n started to hurt a little. I little funny scab appeared underneath and yes I did freak out but I didn't want to look stupid going back the next day and I didn't want to tell my mum so I waited a day or 2 and it came off ...she had warned that that does normally happen too. It does hurt more that when your actually getting it done over the next couple of days it takes getting used too :) but its in then and its easier to cope with :)

I told my mum and she wasn't too impressed called me a few things, dad was probably abet worse but after awhile it was fine and its didn't bother them they kind of forgot :)

I'm turning 18 now next week and I still love my tongue piercing only thing is the attraction was a little that it was unique but now its become more popular with my friends its not un common :( but I does love it.

Definitly worth getting done :)

Good luck to anyone thinking bout it

Hope this helped

And btw I have my Madonna piercing and nose now and 10mm flesh tunnels I will be posting a story about them soon so look out for it if you're interested

xxxxx
