I got my tongue pierced on Tuesday. Completely random, I've always wanted to get it done, and my mother always told me no, no, no. So I thought I wasn't ever going to get it done until I was 18. And when I decided it was time to get it done, I always thought I would chicken out. But having a child natural, with no pain medication made me decide I would be able to handle the pain of a little tongue piercing.
At A Glance Author Pamela Contact pamela4202002@hotmail.com When Three months ago Artist Maddog Studio Maddogz Tattooz and Body Piercings Location Almont, Michigan Tuesday started out normal woke up, got everyone ready to go, my fiancee (Karry) had a Doctors appointment, at 2, so we went there, while he was seeing the doctor, Mom, my sister Mari, my son Logan, and my neice Baileigh went out to lunch at Charlie Browns (the last solid food I ate that day) when that was over, we went and got Karry, and took Mom and Baileigh to work. We then decided we were going to go out to the movies and have my Father watch Logan.
We were on our way to the movie theatre when we got lost, and decided we couldn't make it in time to the 5:15 show, because it was already 5 and we had no idea of where we were. So we then started talking about going to get a piercing. My sister said her husband always wanted her to get her nose pierced, and Karry always wanted me to get my tongue pierced. So off it was!! We were going to get metal permanently stuck thru our face!
We called Mad dogs at 5:45 and asked what time he was open until, and he said 6, and he asked what we wanted to get done, and Karry told him, a tongue and that he's trying to convince us to get our nipples pierced..Well knowing Mad dog is an old pervert..he said he'd help convince us! Anyways, he said he would stay open until we got there. Well we walked in and said who's getting what done?! And I said i'm getting my tongue pierced and she's getting her nose done, he said okay well come sit down.
I went and sat down, and I was so nervous now. I'm the type of person who gets nervous last minute, and my stomach always hits the floor. He's getting everything ready, and put the bib on me, and even before he started I was drooling! He told me to stick my tongue out as far as it would go..That was hard! He had to dry my tongue off like 3 times, because my mouth was watering so bad. He then clamped my tongue, and asked if I liked it..and I said yes. He then grabbed the needle and I knew there was no going back now! He shoved the needle halfway thru and asked if I was okay, and I blinked my eyes..as if telling him yes, and then he finished, and was like okay now we just have to get the jewelry in, and pushed it through, and tightened the ball and I was done!
He asked if I was okay, and I said i'm okay, but I don't want to pass out so let me sit here for a few minutes. My tongue was just a little numb, and sore. It was hard talking though, I sounded like a drunken sailor. He said everything looked good, no bleeding, and I was done and ready to go! I paid him 30 dollars and 5 for a tip, and he told me all the after care and stuff. It's really hard trying to teach myself how to eat and all.
Tuesday night (the night I got it done)
I ate a Mexi melt from Taco Bell, that would originally take 5 minutes to eat, but it took about 30.
Drank some tomato soup
Wednesday
Didn't eat anything for breakfast, went to the mall to get our pictures taken, went to Kirbys' Coney Island, and tried to eat some chicken lemon rice soup, but it didn't work. Braved a plain hotdog, still hungry, ordered some vegetable soup, with nothing but the broth..That junk was good!
Wednesday Night
Ate some of Karrys split pea soup, and made my own cream of mushroom soup..I'm now getting the hang of putting all my food on my left side and chewing it up..
Then I ate some spaghettios like 10 minutes ago, that only took about 25 minutes, so i'm getting better..
Took a Vicodin, and the swelling went down a lot, and it's pretty numb. Logan loves when I wag my tongue at him now!
All in all it was a good experience, Mad dog was a perv, but very very clean..Took everything out of packages in front of me and such. Very professional. I would do it again in a heartbeat!
