Ok, so I've wanted my tongue pierced for about 9 months! I was going to have it done in the 6 week summer holidays but couldn't because I was working nearly every other day and there was the small matter of my parents not agreeing to it, oh and I was under age. Waiting for my 16th birthday was so annoying! Then it came and went. So I set a date for the 20th October!! I told absolutely everybody I was having it done so there was noooo way I could chicken out!!!

So the day came it was the last day of term aswell so I couldn't concentrate on anything!! When school finished I took Bryan, Verity and Jess with me for support! We went to subway before the piercing so I could enjoy a veggie patty before I couldn't eat for a week or so, (I was proved wrong the next day)
When we turned the corner to the shop my stomach lurched!!! I was terrified! I sooo nearly chickened out but my friends said so many ppl will think your silly and I wanted to prove a point to my parents!
So we walked into the piercing shop and into the waiting room to my horror it had been changed into the piercing studio!! The piercer explained there was a flood so they moved to the waiting room and the hallway was now the waiting room. So we walked in and told her what I wanted she asked my friends to leave and I was devastated!!
She then told me all the aftercare procedures and what to do and how to look after it! Moment of truth I sat down and she sprayed this 'banana' flavour anaesthetic in my mouth and I am not joking it was the worst part, she told me not to swallow and to keep my mouth closed for a minute!! I thought my mouth was on fire it even made my eyes water!! She then gave me a plastic cup to spit it into so I tried to spit but as I had numb lips 2 I couldn't I just dribbled into it and used a tissue to wipe my mouth! She then clamped my tongue which I didn't feel!! So many ppl said it hurt but I didn't feel it! N the needle went through she commented that I had a tough tongue! I felt the needle go through and come out the other end but It wasn't pain it was a really satisfying feeling!
I paid up looked in the mirror and fell in love. Thanked her a million times!! And ran to show my friends!!! I got a cold drink of water n walked around town looking 4 sumwhere 2 sit! When I found sumwhere I stuck my tongue out at my friends and they all squirmed then I looked in a mirror and my tongue was covered in blood!! I felt ill!! It bled for about 10 mins and it was awful all the colour drained from my face and I stood up and felt really faint!! But I had another drink and felt better I think it was just the shock of having a big ass needle through my tongue!!!
Only had the piercing 8 hours and already fallen in love with it!! Feels so natural! Wondering why I didn't get it done sooner!!!! No swelling whatsoever yet!! Taken ibuprofen and gone to bed!
Saturday 21st
I booked the day off work because I didn't think it was sensible going in!
I went shopping with mum to find a Halloween costume! When I got up my tongue was soooooooooo swollen! It wasn't painful jus big! So at 12:30 dinner time! I managed to eat toast!!! Ok granted it took 20mins to eat 2 slices but I felt sooo proud! I drank lots of cold drinks including a couple of frappachinos from starbuck's. ummm satisfying!
That night I wasn't that hungry so just ate plain tortilla wraps. All good!!
Went to do my tongue cleaning routine and found some white stuff under my bottom ball, it looked like phlegm, so I used a cotton bud and got it out! It was ewwww!!!
Took ibuprofen and went to bed!
Sunday 22nd
I got up and had my breakfast (a bowl of vanilla icecream and water with lots of ice, had it every morning since) took sum ibuprofen and went to mums friends house.
It was very swollen today but not painful, I was sooo hungry at teatime I ordered a Chinese!!!! Ooo nothing better that vegetable cashew nuts and fried rice it took an hour to eat but was oh so satisfying!!
Monday 23rd
Not much happened today swelling gone down lots feeling a lot better and playin with it a bit! Got told not to but its soooo hard! Went to the cinema and ate lots of ice cream and sum popcorn 2!! Sum got stuck under my ball!! Its quite annoying when that happens!!! Normal bedtime routine.
Tuesday 24th
Ate normal breakfast, lunch had 5 roast potatoes, and 3 veggie fingers took 30 mins 2 eat so im getting better at eating!! Got a horrible taste today because its not easy to brush your tongue!! But so far so good!!!! Piercing is ace!!!!
5 weeks later!
Fully healed just after 2 weeks! So now its fine!! Can use it for everything!! Its fab I love it and don't even realise its there but when I take it out it feels MEGA weird!!! Anywhoo!! Best piercing ever and now considering more!! Ill deffo write again!
