I'm 16 and I've just got my tongue piercing around 9 days ago. I haven't always wanted one but I thought it was cool. I had my naval done 4months ago, it wasn't much pain but I thought tongue would be worse. My friends think I'm weird because when I like to get piercings when I'm extremely bored, even if I don't really want it.

My friend got her tongue done 2 weeks before me, she told me about the place and that it was only $60 so I thought yeah why not, it seems cool. And not to mention that it would please my boyfriend ;]

So I walked into the studio, I was a little nervous. But personally, I love needles. Freaky aye? I don't know, I just love the feeling. I met my piercer and he told me to go to the shop next door to buy a frappe and then come back. So I did.

When I got back, he was ready and he had some sort of blinds and closed everyone out. Now it was just me and him. He told me to rinse my mouth with listerine and then stick my tongue out as far as I could. He also gave me a tissue(in case I drool). He made a joke a joke about my tongue. He said "Gee you have a big tongue! You can fit 5 in there!" Haha I never noticed really, but yea my tongue is pretty long I guess. I only managed to drool one drop haha and it missed the tissue and went on my jeans! HAHAHA

Anyways back to my story, my piercer examined my web. He said he has to pierce right through the middle to avoid the veins. He got a pen and marked the spot. Then he clamped it, it didn't hurt much... just like a pinch. He pierced from the bottom up. I could feel the needle when he poked it in but I couldn't feel it going up the other end. It was totally painless, if you want this, go get it!!! Before I knew it, my piercer was telling me that he was just screwing on the balls. No blood, no pain. And yes I can talk properly! After that, he explained all the after care to me and I paid and left. Can't be happier!!! Before I left, my piercer recommended me a mouth wash designed for tongue piercings from Germany or something. I got it as well. You use 5ml of that and fill the rest of the 20ml with warm water and rinse. Compared to Oral B alcohol free mouth wash, it's less concentrated, even when I dilute Oral B with warm water as well.

After like 2-3hours my tongue swelled up abit and I kept eating ice cream. I even kissed and smoked after I got it. And I could eat solid food!! I guess I was just lucky. My parents found out couple of days later, when I got home drunk. Haha.. now they want it off, but I still got it on for now. I changed the jewellery already cos it was only swollen for 3 days and it became too long. I bought myself some from Ebay. They are soooo cheap!

Anyways, I'm totally in love with it! It's so fun playing with it. I just hope that my parents will forget about it soon. Oh and I'm going to a private school soon, hope they don't see it.

But one thing, my boyfriend said it felt funny when we kissed. He'll get used to it soon though. Haha

Let's see, if you want to get your tongue pierced, I think you should ask for your parents' permission first or they're going to freak out like mine when they do see it. One of my friend also got hers done and her parents saw it while she was yawning, then they tried to rip it off!!! If you know your parents don't like these kind of stuff, I suggest you wait till you're 18. And also find a clean place to get it done. The last thing you want is a big nasty infection. Won't be glamourous, would it?

I'll leave you guys for now. Wish me luck!!! I don't want to take it off just yet. And I was thinking should I get an eyebrow piercing? Or would that look a bit masculine on a girl? If any of you had that done, please email me or something and tell me if it hurts. My email is joystic@hotmail.com Haha I want couple of tattoos too, was going to get one early next year but since I got busted from my parents, I better not.

But I don't think I can get it done till I am 18. Two years to go!!!
