At A Glance Author P Contact P@bme.anon IAM P When N/A Artist IAM: Sarge Studio Metal Fatigue Location bournemouth I am not to shore how to start this, but here it goes. I've had my current vertical tongue piercing for over 2 years now (original one had at 15) and after a year or so I decided I needed something more. The plan was to get a venom, but my tongues quite small so I'd started to consider a horizontal tongue as a alternative option. This turned into a problem when I decided I liked the horizontal more for weeks before originally going for it I was oomming and arring about which one to get.
Finally I had made up my mind and at the end of September / Beginning of October I nervously clambered the familiar steps of Metal Fatigue. There was IAM: diddy and I explained what I wanted with hand gestures and everything. He then explained that he had never seen one done so he would be doing it blind, so not a good idea at all. As disappointed as I was after getting my self so hyped up for it, it was very understandable.
I made a few trips to Metal Fatigue, but for one reason and another it did not happen. It was though perfectly understandable as I am well aware off the fact it is not a common piercing and why waist an opportunity to help train some one. If it was not me it would have been some one else. Then I got a new boyfriend and for some bizarre reason getting an oral piercing got put on a back burner.
It was not long tough until it started on my mind again and at the beginning of the year I decided as soon as I had the money it WAS going to happen. So on the 15th February I climbed the stars once again. There was IAM: Sarge and I asked to be a pest once again. No one else was there once again, but he said Thursday and asked to look at my tongue. After having a look and talking about what he would probable do I pottered off once again.
Thursday came and I was going to London that day as well so all dressed up I made my way to there. Went in and Sarge knew why I was there. As I filled in the form he called over to paradox for IAM: mr_hat and IAM: sherripie and gave me some mouthwash. We all went onto the studio and I was asked to rinse my mouth out.
When Mr Hat went to get the PTFE Sarge marked my tongue up and I had a look in the mirror to make shore it was tip top. I sat back into the chair and by this point I am bricking it. He prepared the jewelry and now it was time to start something.
He put the clamps on and started to put the needle through. At first it just felt like the vertical tongue, but it was a lot slower so became more painful. About half way through he had to slow right down to make shore it would be strait and a tear came rumbling down my cheek. This moment was quickly distracted as I started to drawl like made very, very attractive and lady like I am shore. Then within moments it was done.
Mr. Hat I think had been taken photos, but I'm not quite shore. He took a few photos of the finished peace. I was quite surprised, but very relieved that there was not a drop of blood involved. Sarge question the length of the PTFE being to long, but I was greatly concerned about how much it swell so I was fine with it. After attempting to talk to everyone I left so delighted, in pain but delighted none the less.
My next stop was to ASDA where I met the first person I knew out side the studio and he was amazed by it. This was not the purpose of my trip there, which was to get ice lollies I never new how much relief frozen ice could bring.
My tongue swelled up a lot for me as it barely swelled for the vertical and never had got the fuss that my friends made when they'd had theirs done. Eating was difficult, but not as much as I had expected (I ate a chine's the next day and a roast a couple of days later).
On two occasions I've had problem with it bleeding, but both of them where a few days after having it done. Though this was censuring it was not enough blood to make me take it out. Both times I assume it was down to catching it as I got used to it being there.
The main problem I've had with it is my speech for the first couple of weeks it was quite horrendous and now I still have a lisp. Despite my friends getting used to it people still take the pisssss. This is the only thing that makes me consider taking it out, but I look at it and am still delighted with it, it's so pretty. It has been over 5 months now and I don't really notice it.
To anyone that is considering to get this done it is a fantastic piercing to have and I would get it done again. But there is a big BUT it is a hassle even after the swellings gone down there is a fairly big chance you'll have a lisp. You may have difficulty eat curtain foods for some time (It took ages to be able to eat crisps and chewing gum hurts). You are restricting a muscle by shoving a long rod though it. You could hit something that could course you to bleed a lot even lead to permanent damage. If you still think its worth is for an amazing piercing go for it.
