Well ever since I was like 14 or probably even yonger I have always wanted to get my tongue pierced. But of course when you are young you always want to do weird stuff like thinking \I could cut hair. hmm not a good idea! I would ask my mom literally every day for like a month stright and she would look at me funny and ask me, what are you crazy?! Well duh I know she probably thought I was crazy but I wanted it so bad!
At A Glance Author anonymous When Five years ago Location albuq, nm Every time I would ask my mom she would always would say no or tell me to ask my dad if it was okay. And my dad is one of those people who thinks that your "body is your temple" and if God wanted you to have piercings and tattoos, you would already have them and blah blah blah!!! I already knew the answer if I would ask him. But being as hard headed as I am I still asked him. And of course the answer was... Uh NO! Which just got me more mad. It was pointless for me to ask but hey it was worth a try I guess.
After both my mom and dad told me no over and over again, I thought I would be cool and try to do it myself. I got one of my moms needles that she used to sew with, an earring, and some ice and came into my room. I sat on my bed for a while with the ice in my mouth trying to make my tongue numb. And then I tried to put the needle through. OUCH! I kinda scramed. Oops! That didnt go as I planned for it to. My mom came in and yelled at me and asked me what the hell I was doing. Ha ha. I told her, well then since I couldnt do it myself to just take me already. Then again I thought I was going to get a no but then it was weird I heard a YES!!! I guess she finally got tired of hearing me ask her over and over again.
My mom and I secretly went without my dad knowing because for sure I would still not have it done and now i'm already 19! My mom just looked at me and told me I had 10 minutes to get ready or else she was gonna change her mind. So we went to this little place that my friend told me about. Which we drove all over the place trying to look for it. We were lost for like a half hour. But hey we finally got there. I was so scared I was even shaking. And me being only 14, we had to sign papers and stuff which you have to do anyway. After singing all the papers and everything we went into the piercing room and the lady got all her tools and told me to calm down and that everything would go by fast. Ha ha I was still shaking. My palms were sweating. I sat there for a couple of minutes just thinking to myself, YES this is finally gonna happen! So finally when I was done freaking out, the lady got the clamp and the needle and counted, 1.., 2.. bam! And stuck the needle through.
It was done before I knew it. The only thing that wasn't cool was when she stuck the needle in my tongue the phone rang and she just stopped everything and took off to go answer it. UH! So I was sitting there with this huge needle sticking out of my tongue while it was bleeding. I was just sitting there with my slobber dripping down onto my shirt which was nice. I remember looking at my mom and she looked really freaked out. Her eyes were wide open. She didnt blink once and she looked like she was in shock. You would of thought she was the one who got her tongue pierced. It was way funny! About 5 minutes later the lady came back and was like, oh yeah you. Uh what? Hello! I dont know if she forgot i was there or if she was just being sarcastic.
Oh well it didnt hurt one bit. The only thing I would change from my experience was for the lady not to leave to go answer the phone. Other than that everything was hella cool! And it didnt hurt one bit. Even sitting there with my tongue hanging out for a while So if anyone tries to tell you that getting your tongue pierced hurts, ah they are just being babies! I would suggest to just go on and get er done! And hopefully your piercer wont take off to go answer the phone!
