Hello to everyone viewing this. I just visited this site to view the stories about people who had their Belly Button Pierced because I'm interested in doing that also. But my story is about getting my tongue pierced not once but twice. Ouch some might say but it's worth the little pain, no I wouldn't even say pain I would say discomfort I experienced.

I first thought about getting my tongue pierced when I was in High School. Me and my girls was at this party bugging. And one of my friends was like you got to see this it's gone have you bugging. So she called this guy over to us she was cool with and said stick your tongue out. I looked at her like what in the hell is she asking him to stick his tongue out for. But he did it anyway and I was like oh stop playing his tongue was pierced with this hot design on the ball. My first reaction was to grab my mouth like someone just slapped the hell outta me because I never seen anyone's tongue pierced. (Might I add I was 16 at the time I'm now 25. This was back in 96.) So anyway I was like wait that's unique. And nobody was getting their tongue pierced so I was like hum I might do that.
So me and my friend talked about it and we decided we would do it cause it's cute. So when the time came that we were gonna do it I was broke. So my friend got it done anyway and I found out that it wasn't that bad. I convinced my mom to give me the money. She was like fine but I know you not gonna do it. I was like okay why don't you go with me and I'll show and prove. So she gave me the $60.00 and we went to Abstract I had her in there looking at tattoo's while I was getting ready to get pierced. I sat down and called her over. The first thing they had me do was rinse out my mouth with Listerine after that I sat down and he told me to stick out my tongue which I did. He drew the dot on my tongue to make sure it was centered right. Then he put the clamps on when he put the clamps on my mom practically ran out of the shop. He then took a needle and stuck it through my tongue and said don't pull your tongue back in or you'll have a double piercing so of course I kept my tongue out. After he got my tongue ring he put it in the place of the needle and screwed the ball on at the bottom of my tongue. ( Which I think is better because that in my opinion lessens the chances of you swallowing the ball). After he told me what to do to keep it clean I was good to go.
My mom was in the car like I can't believe you did it. So we went to the store and got some Listerine to keep the piercing clean and a Slurpee to ease the swelling in my tongue. But after all this I was hungry. So I told my mom I was hungry and she gets me a sub. All I could do with that was pull small pieces off and actually stick it between my teeth to chew it. That was because I was afraid that I would bite the ring since my tongue was swollen. I didn't swell that bad but it was enough for me to not eat like I usually do.
After 5 days I was able to go back to the shop for him to put in a smaller gauge and I was good. I love my tongue ring. I love it so much that after I got out the Army I got it pierced again. Because as you may know the military does not let you keep a tongue piercing. I recommend it to everyone that wants to get it. The only thing that I advise is that you keep it clean and avoid smoking after you just get it done because a friend of mine smoked and her tongue had a yellowish tint it was alright after awhile but who wants a yellow tongue. And I also STRONGLY advise that you eat before you get it pierced because if your tongue swells like mine you will be extremely upset that you didn't eat before you got the damn thing done! Oh yeah and the second time I got it done I actually drooled like an idiot some people bleed. But hey it's worth it enjoy it. Because it is truly a unique piercing. I work in a business setting and people can not tell that my tongue is pierced the only way they know is if I tell them or if I'm bored I'll flick it around my mouth and bite on the gauge and they may notice it then. But otherwise it's not noticeable unless somebody is all up in your mouth. Have fun with it trust me your boyfriend will love it for all the doubting females out there. They have one's that glow in the dark, vibrate, they even have french ticklers that you can fit on them for all the freaks out there that like to please their partners to the upmost.
