So one day I decided the coolest thing I could possibly do was get my tongue pierced. After talking to a couple of friends and after hearing tons of good feedback. And after consulting with my bf. It was good to go. So next thing was deciding on the place to get it done. In Belleville we have two places. Injections and another place which will remain anonymous, because I've heard nothing but horrible things about it. Such as a guy went there to get his tongue pierced and the piercer slipped and knicked an artery, and the guy almost died. This was probably just a rumour but just keeping it safe I decided on Injections.

The next day at work. I worked at Tim Hortons at the time. I told everybody who would listen. I was so excited. But everybody kept telling me that my tongue would be like 3 inches thick afterwards. So that kinda scared me. Anyways after the long wait. The day had arrived.
So I got myself down to Injections, with lots of time to spare. Actually about 30 mins. Yea, I just couldn't wait. But while I was waiting, I just checked out the tattoos and such on the wall. Talked to some of the people in there. And then I find out, the lady who would be piercing my tongue used to be a registered nurse. So that totally reassured me. Anyways, after waiting for what seemed like an eternity, it was finally my turn. So she calls me in. I get in there and it was a pretty tripy room. Very sterile. Which is a good thing in the piercing business. And it smelled like a dentist office. Which is also a good thing for when it comes to piercing.
So I sit down in the chair. It was kind of like a dentist chair. Or maybe a hair dressers chair. And this was the hard part. I had to hold my tongue out so far. It was hard my jaw kept cramping up. So anyways Before all of that I watched her put on some fresh gloves and take the needle, jewelry and clamps out of sealed packages and place them on a paper plate. Next she gets my to swish some listerine around in my mouth. She had me swish around the stuff for so long my tongue was burning. She said I had to swish for so long because a human mouth has TONS of bacteria in it. So then I've got my tongue hanging out of my mouth because its burning and the piercer is trying to put the dot on my tongue to mark where she is gonna pierce it. So she gets the dot on there and silly me, I closed my mouth while she was turned around and putting an anti bacterial cream on the jewelry and the needle, so they glide through my tongue easier, and all the spit takes off the dot. Yep, I'm a smart one. Anyways so I'm trying my darndest to keep my tongue stuck out so she can remark the dot and my jaw has never hurt so bad.
But finally she gets the dot on there and grabs the clamps. Puts an elastic around the end so it clamps tight. And anyways, she puts the clamp on my tongue, and darn I thought my jaw was cramped already, but when she put the clamp on, my tongue hurt like hell. So finally we are almost done all the preparation. Time to put that needle through my tongue. So she grabs the needle and says "take a big deep breath in" So I do, then she says "and let it out" and as soon as I start to let it out, she sticks me with the needle. Shoot did that ever hurt. But not as bad as the clamps. If you ask me that was a pretty dirty trick, but later on she told me it eases the pain. Anyways so the needle she put through my tongue was hollow, so all she had to do was put the end of the jewelry in the end of the needle and put the needle through to get the jewelry in.
So she's got that all under control, tongue ring is in my tongue. So it's done. And she asks me to stick out my tongue so she can make sure that everything is good to go. So she checks my tongue from every possible angle, then says everything is good. So I go to put my tongue back in my mouth, by this time My tongue hurt and my jaw was super cramped. But I go to put my tongue back in my mouth and the top of the jewelry catches on my teeth. Talk about OWWWWW!!! But I survived it
